Gov Christie discovers the GOP are the party of treason:

http://news.yahoo.com/nj-gov-christie-b ... 30119.html

"...
In a State House news conference, Christie blasted Republican U.S. House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio for delaying a vote on a $60 billion aid package for Superstorm Sandy recovery.

"Do your job and come through for the people of this country," Christie pointedly said about Boehner.

Harsh criticism of Boehner by elected officials in New York and New Jersey turned into a bipartisan affair Wednesday. But it was Christie's remarks that drew the most attention, both for what he said and his willingness, as a Republican with higher aspirations, to so forcefully take on Boehner and Congressional Republicans.

The bill "could not overcome the toxic internal politics of the House majority," Christie said.

Under pressure, Boehner will schedule a vote Friday to fund $9 billion for the national flood insurance program. A vote on the remaining $51 billion will take place Jan. 15.

Even before word of the rescheduled votes came out, Christie said he could no longer trust such assurances.

"There is no reason for me at the moment to believe anything they tell me because they've been telling me stuff for weeks and they haven't delivered," Christie said.
... "

The Republicans have spent 12 years proving they will gladly fuck the country for the smallest partisan advantage; which they will use to fuck the country again.

Gov Christie discovers the GOP are the party of treason:
A "party" of one maybe. Seems King of Long Island has blasted him and them also (and he happens to be Republican).
Bringing to vote is the Boehners job. Many (all) other republicans wanted it to come to vote. To declare the whole party as a party of treason is incorrect.

ETA
I live on Long Island and have been involved in some of the relief effort. Before one even gives the congress a vote on the relief package, someone might want to come down to the damaged ares and see where FEMA is (haven't found them yet) or the red cross (not seen) or any of the aid the concert was supposed to provide. The only aid I see is neighbors helping neighbors and people from less affected parts (me too) coming down and giving free time to help those most affected. Somehow I think no matter how much money is approved, those who need it most (not the $500K households the $100K households) will not see much of it other than a hotel bill which doesn't cover the $150 per day to stay there for now going on 3 months.
Repub, demos, Pres, they are all worth less than my dogs shit I collect every week from my yard. More goes overseas than goes to helping our own and that is wrong. And if one blames it on the repub, he is worng too, as the senate is dem controlled as is the executive branch. But of course that branch is on vacation, as is the other two.

Oldr, when rube starts one of these troll threads (particularly when he starts vomiting up vile garbage about "treason" and "traitors") it's generally best not to engage him.

I wanted to discuss this topic, and I saw we had another thread started about, so I posted my comments there. If we hadn't had another thread, I would have started my own rather than reply in shit-for-brains thread. (And for anyone who would like to get cute and say, "well you're replying now" I would point out that my purpose for posting in this thread is to comment about his putrid rhetoric, not to reply to him about the nominal topic that he has chosen to use as vehicle for delivering his bile.)

All rube does when he uses terms like that is prove that not all of the disgusting, dialogue destroying rhetoric comes from the right....(one of the useful purposes rube serves on this board.)

He has nothing more to offer than Michael Savage....

That sort of ignorant trash is precisely what's wrong with political discourse in this country...

Well, suit yourself oldr, let me know know if he says anything worthwhile and thought provoking....(I don't expect I'll spend much more time on this thread...)

(In fact if he says something worthwhile and thought provoking, you should copy and paste it into a new thread, and Strop should make it sticky...Such a rare event should be noted prominently and seen by all.)
