With 47 floors of living space it was intended to be the tallest residential building in Europe.

But with only months until it is due for completion, contractors have hit upon a slight problem .

They forgot to build a lift.

I hate to admit this, but I have become so lazy that when I take the BART downtown, when I get to the station I'm getting off at, I frequently walk past the stairs in order to take the escalator to the street level... :?

In my defense, when I get on the escalator, I do keep walking...
