Considering the pounding he took...I suspect that no matter how many he consumed, a hangover would not even be in his top 5 pains this morning.oldr_n_wsr wrote:And I wonder how much Budweiser paid Peyton Manning to give them a plug during his postgame interview?
Interviewer: "Hey Peyton, you just wan the Superbowl, what are you going to do now"
Peyton: "Go get falling down drunk on Busweisers"
I guess they don't do "I'm going to DisneyLand" any more.

Add in the Papa John owner on the field as the first guy Peyton hugs, and we get a glimpse of the real Peyton. The guy has carefully created the down-to-earth regular guy image, but in the end, beyond having a brilliant football career, he is a savvy and elite pitchman. Who knows what he is like in real life, except that the general word is that he is well-liked by his teammates and his opponents respect him. You could pretty much say the same for the QB who he went against in the AFC title game.oldr_n_wsr wrote:And I wonder how much Budweiser paid Peyton Manning to give them a plug during his postgame interview?

You hope he is smiling today.

Agreed; I thought it was better than many of the Super Bowls.Long Run wrote:I agree too. We've gotten so used to offensive dominated football, with its pinball racking up of yardage and points, that the general thinking is that the game is boring when two defenses dominate. And Denver's defense was so "on" that it had the Carolina O-line all jumpy (how many false starts did they have?). On the other hand, the defenses dominated in part because the offenses were average.Lord Jim wrote:I agree, though a bit sloppy...(but the screw ups made it exciting)Personally I thought it was a pretty good game.

I was surprised of the low attendance as it was at a recovery center (a type of rehab center run by a ministry)dales wrote:Might I suppose that is reflection of where they are on their recovery journey?oldr_n_wsr wrote:I went to a meeting at 6:30 that ended at 7:45 then watched the rest of the game.
Only 6 people at the meeting which usually has 25-30.
I applaud your for attending meetings, keep it up!
I like going to meetings but if the Jets were playing I would not have attended that meeting. Imight have opted for an earlier one.
Thanks

I THINK THE VID...

Well that might work in Australia but it is not the case in the US.

No - I clicked on it and it says banned in your country by the NFL. Never mind - I went to Youtchewb and watched enough to thrill me with revolutionary pride, right on!
I see it, I want it
I stunt, yeah, little hornet
I dream it, I work hard
I grind 'til I own it
I twirl all my haters
Albino alligators
El Camino with the ceiling low
Sippin' Cuervo with no chaser
Sometimes I go off, I go off
I go hard, I go hard
Get what's mine, take what's mine
I'm a star, I'm a star
'Cause I slay, slay
I slay, hey, I slay, OK
I slay, OK, all day, OK
I slay, OK, I slay, OK
We gon' slay, slay
Gon' slay, OK
We slay, OK
I slay, OK
I slay, OK
OK, OK, I slay, OK
OK, OK, OK, OK
Quite rightly, the US media is overwhelmed with admiration for the above revolutionary and groundbreaking political statement by Beyondsense. I stunt, yeah little hornet - rarely (if ever) has such a truthful and penetrating statement ever been made, anywhere, anytime by anybody. Albino alligators - the overseers of societal domination surely are trembling as their hegemoniacal intentions are skewered and exposed to the light of day. I slay, I slay, I slay - a funny thing happened on the way to the Forum ... well you naysayers may argue that it was Levi's Stadium and the Forum is where Bebouncy should have got an MTV Video award except that Katy Perry beat her out (and we all know why) and all she got was Best Collaboration but the Lakers played there man, back in the day, and history must not be forgotten. Harry Belafonte... Malcom X... Langston Hughes... Huey Newton... Martin when he was good... Cleopatra... Johnny Cash
