Add in the Papa John owner on the field as the first guy Peyton hugs, and we get a glimpse of the real Peyton. The guy has carefully created the down-to-earth regular guy image, but in the end, beyond having a brilliant football career, he is a savvy and elite pitchman. Who knows what he is like in real life, except that the general word is that he is well-liked by his teammates and his opponents respect him. You could pretty much say the same for the QB who he went against in the AFC title game.

I agree too. We've gotten so used to offensive dominated football, with its pinball racking up of yardage and points, that the general thinking is that the game is boring when two defenses dominate. And Denver's defense was so "on" that it had the Carolina O-line all jumpy (how many false starts did they have?). On the other hand, the defenses dominated in part because the offenses were average.

Agreed; I thought it was better than many of the Super Bowls.

I went to a meeting at 6:30 that ended at 7:45 then watched the rest of the game.
Only 6 people at the meeting which usually has 25-30.

Might I suppose that is reflection of where they are on their recovery journey?

I was surprised of the low attendance as it was at a recovery center (a type of rehab center run by a ministry)

I like going to meetings but if the Jets were playing I would not have attended that meeting. Imight have opted for an earlier one.
