Day 14. Fourteen days to go.
From CNN:
"The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an emergency use authorization for chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine to treat patients hospitalized with Covid-19.
The drugs -- which are used to treat malaria and other conditions -- have been called game changers by President Donald Trump.
But thus far, there is little scientific evidence that chloroquine, or its closely-related analogue hydroxychloroquine, are effective in treating Covid-19."

Maybe a way forward ... test for antibodies:
" United Biomedical is now working with San Miguel County, which includes the famous Rocky Mountain ski destination, to test all 8,000 residents for COVID-19 antibodies -- making it the first community in the country to do widespread antibody testing. The idea, officials said, is to learn from an individual’s blood whether there is evidence the person has already been exposed. With that information, officials can then make decisions about whether quarantines and restrictions would need to continue and whether they need to be as widespread as they are in states and cities across the country right now."

Six days ago:
A Phoenix-area man has died and his wife was in critical condition after the couple took chloroquine phosphate, an additive used to clean fish tanks that is also found in an anti-malaria medication touted by Donald Trump as a treatment for Covid-19.
Banner Health said on Monday the couple in their 60s got sick within half an hour of ingesting the additive. The man could not be resuscitated at hospital but the woman was able to throw up much of the chemical.
“Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure,” the woman told NBC. She said her advice would be: “Don’t take anything. Don’t believe anything. Don’t believe anything that the president says and his people … call your doctor.”
Well, I don't think he recommended sucking down fish-tank cleaner but at least she's learned two true things out of the experience.

I'm wondering if the 300 or so Iranians that died after drinking methanol as a cure taught anyone something. There's lots of info available. Choose wisely.
I don't claim the zinc acetate is a cure even though evidence supports effectiveness against corona (cold) viruses. It seems to block the viral attachment to cell walls.
I suggest checking your temperature when you may have been exposed frequently during the day, If you see signs of a fever start sucking on the lozenges.
Do Not take the lozenges every day as a prophylactic measure. Based on other info, don't drink anything containing citric acid afterwards.

Slate has a piece on the French doctor who is pushing chloroquine. He announced it in a YouTube post which is undoubtedly the scientific medium of today.
Here's a picture of him. I think he has a brother in New York.

Contrary to the naysayers and fearmongers the USNS Comfort is in New York City.
"March 30 (UPI) -- The Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort arrived in New York City on Monday to relieve the strain on city hospitals overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ship entered New York harbor and passed the Statue of Liberty on its way to Manhattan's Pier 90 on Monday morning, arriving from Virginia. It will treat urgent care patients who do not have symptoms of the virus, but who would otherwise face long delays at the city hospitals, allowing hospital personnel to focus on patients with the virus."

Is it the naysayers or the fearmongers who are responsible for that appalling number?
When Dr. Birx says that "if we do everything close to perfectly" we can expect the horrendous result of 100,000 to 200,000 dead, is she a naysayer or a fearmonger ?

I was referring to the media naysayers and fearmongers. We already know the models aren't reliable. Lets see how the three drug treatment works in New York.
The count down each day will relay positive efforts and results in ending the pandemic. If all goes as expected the media will be off like a pack of dogs chasing the next car with a loud blown out Mueller in their effort to denigrate Trump.
Denigrate all you want. Focus on the negative and the apocalyptic.
Wait for it. Wait for what you might ask. The answer ... Cuomo taking credit for successful results in New York.

That proves chloroquine phosphate works, doesn't it? Neither of them got the COVID-19 virus and 50% of them never will.

In Iran, last I checked, at least three hundred died from drinking methanol for COVID-19. Cults exist sometimes to the detriment of their members. Same with the two chloroquine phosphate imbibers.

US coronavirus death toll tops 3,000 with more now dead than in 9/11 as health experts predict the worse is yet to come
Monday was the deadliest day yet in the country's coronavirus crisis, with 541 people dying and the total death toll surpassing 3,000
The COVID-19 outbreak is now officially more deadly than the 9/11 terrorist attacks which killed 2,977
Modelling predicts that 82,141 would be dead by Aug. 4
The reported cases climbed to more than 164,000 Monday, with a single-day increase of more than 20,000
The US death toll from the coronavirus pandemic climbed past 3,000 on Monday, making the outbreak more deadly than the September 11 terrorist attacks that killed 2,977, but the number of daily fatalities are expected to soar over the next two weeks.
Total deaths across the United States were at least 541 on Monday alone, and modelling by the University of Washington School of Medicine predicted that deaths will number more than 2,000 a day from April 10 through April 21. By August 4, the number of people dead from the outbreak in the United State could be 82,141, according to the model.
Reported cases climbed to more than 163,000 on Monday as the number of new infections jumped at least 20,000 in one day.
The United States has the most confirmed cases in the world, a number that is likely to soar when tests for the virus become more widespread.

I just have a BSCE, MBA.
My girl friend, however, is a DVM, PhD (immuniopathology), MSN-FNP.
Between the two of us we have an understanding of material many do not.
FYI, "Immunopathology is a branch of medicine that deals with immune responses associated with disease. It includes the study of the pathology of an organism, organ system, or disease with respect to the immune system, immunity, and immune responses."

She's taught, usually at the graduate level, at the University of New Mexico, Texas A&M and the University of Vermont. She also ran her own medical clinic in Oregon. Lately she's been saying bulls shit a lot after reading the media pablum.
