How do you possibly conclude that from what you posted. The officers were investigating a low level crime, and were surprised by an armed person who shot one of them, severely wounding him. When the other tried to get away, she was also shot and killed. No hesitance or being afraid to shoot even being suggested; no liberals or conservatives; and no misdemeanor I can see. But go on with your fantasy. It really must suck viewing events through the lens you use.

Remember a while back on this form when some liberal posters said that all cops or at least all white cops are racist. Now it can't be more than a misdemeanor to kill a racist. Don't you agree? If you disagree, you must be a racist.

Rittmanic and Bailey went upstairs to room 308 with the intention of issuing a ticket for a local noise ordinance violation against Harris because of the barking dogs, and to arrest Sullivan on outstanding warrants, prosecutors said.

The officers first knocked on the door of room 308, but there was no answer. When officers knocked again, Bailey announced it was the police, and said they needed to address the complaint about the dogs. Harris, who was pregnant at the time, said from behind the door that she would be coming out of the room, prosecutors said.

Finally, after 14 minutes, Harris opened the door to the hotel room, prosecutors said. She tied to squeeze past the door and close it to prevent officers from arresting Sullivan – who was also in the room, prosecutors said.

As Bailey and Rittmanic kept asking Harris to stop blocking the door, Sullivan came from around the room (? — I think they meant 'door') holding a 9-mm handgun with a drum clip, prosecutors said. Sullivan shot Bailey in the head, and then fired a first shot at Rittmanic as she tried to get out of his range, prosecutors said.

(The above picture shows a Glock 9-mm handgun with a 50-round drum magazine attached because while you, BSG, are apparently an expert and knowledgeable in all things, others may not be as much of a polymath as you profess to be)

Sullivan then chased Rittmanic down the hallway and pinned her up against a door, prosecutors said. His gun became jammed at that point, and he began trying to unjam his own gun with his left hand while also trying to disarm Rittmanic with the other, prosecutors said.

Amid the struggle, Harris walked down the hallway and told Sullivan to "cock the gun." Sullivan went on to get a hold of Rittmanic's gun, prosecutors said.

Sullivan and Harris then stood over Rittmanic as she lay on the floor – already having been shot once. By this point, Harris was holding Sullivan's gun, while Sullivan had Rittmanic's duty weapon in hand, prosecutors said. Sullivan then fired two shots at Rittmanic from what was believed to be her own weapon – while Harris handed some keys to Sullivan and told him he had to go, prosecutors said.

Sullivan then fired the final fatal shots at Rittmanic, prosecutors said.

Jesus Fugging Christ, BSG!!!  If a cop stands and has a shootout in a motel hallway with bullets flying every which way, she's wrong.  So she tries to back away from superior firepower, and again she's wrong.  And once she's been incapacitated and disarmed, some dark-skinned scumwad (I refuse to call him a black man as that is a slap in the face to the hundreds of thousands of other black men who do NOT come out of hotel rooms, armed to the teeth, gun a-blazing) shoots her — nay, executes her — in cold blood.  I'm just surprised he didn't go back and administer a coup de grâce to her partner as well.

Then, like a true Monday-morning quarterback, YOU'VE got the unmitigated audacity to point out her supposed flaws and accuse her of being unfit for police work, adding insult to injury.   God, woman, you really take the cake.

Give her a break; she's entitled to her opinion. The country is full of Monday morning quarterbacks you criticize, from the comfort and safety to their easy-chairs. Remember that reasonable woman Oprah Winfrey who wanted all the police involved in a Tennessee no-knock raid that killed sleeping woman to all to go to prison just for being involved in the raid? And she's right; there have to be thousands of cops that shouldn't be cops; she could have been one of them.

Please note that the pistol with the drum magazine became inoperable after two shots. The 'Chicago Piano" with the 50 round drum magazine and the violin case became notorious during the 1930's (the Auto-Ord company still sells them, semi-auto only) The Thompson submachine gun saw lots of official service during WWII. Perhaps there's a reason the US Military always used a stick magazine, not the drum.

liberty I’ve got BB on ignore and I never, ever read his posts anymore. I do however get little red notifications at the top of the forum front page all the time informing me that he’s quoted me, and I’m quite sure that all the replies are some version of what you just responded to because they always have been in the past. No matter the topic or tone of my posts, he attacks them. He would probably call his own dear mother a cunt and a whore if I said she was a lovely woman, just so he could attack me.

Please don’t feel the need to defend me re: BB. He has a sick obsession with me and nothing you or anyone else says or does could stop it, I’m certain. He can’t stop it. He can’t quit me. This is because he is as meaningful to me as dog shit on the bottom of my shoe - less, even, because the dogshit would actually annoy me - and it drives him to distraction that I just won’t pay attention to him anymore.

If his replies like the one you quoted bother you, please do me a favor and just ignore them in future. Anytime you engage with him on that issue you’re just inadvertently feeding his obsession with me, which will only exacerbate the intensity of his board stalking. I get a little bit tired of all those little red notifications.
