Re: One up the bum, no harm done
I did ride my motorcycle to the blood test. I'll take the car this satuday when I go. And I haven't riden the mc all week. Don't know if it will help, but results were up last winter after snowmobiling.
Re: One up the bum, no harm done
I suspect you have a reputation in the medical field, so they used little or no Fentanyl & Versed when they performed your colonoscopy. Unless there is a need to bypass a stick up a patient's ass, most people will feel a little pressure at most.TPFKA@W wrote:I call bullshit. Have you ever awakened during a colonoscopy? I guarantee, having done so at least twice that you definitely will "feel something".The preparation is no big deal. The colonoscopy is not uncomfortable and you probably will sleep through it. But even if you don't, you feel nothing.

And you prove more and more to be an asshole. If it wasn't painful they would not need to knock you out. Or maybe you really are that stupid.Joe Guy wrote:I suspect you have a reputation in the medical field, so they used little or no Fentanyl & Versed when they performed your colonoscopy. There's no need for name calling. I disagree with you based on my own experience and research on the subject prior to having mine done.TPFKA@W wrote:And you prove more and more to be an asshole. If it wasn't painful they would not need to knock you out. Or maybe you really are that stupid.
Most people are not completely knocked out. The versed makes most people forget what happened so they think they were sleeping. I remember watching the process on a monitor when I had it done.
The Fentanyl is used to prevent the potential discomfort from having a tube stuck up your colon. Again, everyone is different. You implied that you felt something you didn't like but you didn't say it was pain.
People who feel pain or discomfort are more likely to be people who have had symptoms prior to the procedure, like inflammatory bowel syndrome or stick up the ass syndrome.

I know I am not affected by novacain the way most people are. When I went for my vasectomy I told the doctor and he had what he said "more than enough". After some sticking and pricking (pun intended) the nurse had to go get more novacain before he could go ahead with the procedure.
People react to drugs differently. Just your given body/metabolism.

It's interesting Joe that you don't like being called "names" yet you think it is fine to follow me around the board saying whatever incendiary and derogatory thing that you want about me, and how I perform in my profession and how I am seen by other professionals in my field. You know squat. Now you have done a little goggling and think you know something. You watched the procedure as they did it? I seriously doubt it. What you likely saw was a video of the procedure after the fact. I recall the doctor playing it back to me after the procedure. Of course your head is so far up your ass you already know how things look up there so the doctor likely thought he needn't bother.

Same issue at the dentist, sometimes the injection will not work. It's worrisome at times.oldr_n_wsr wrote:I know I am not affected by novacain the way most people are. OHHH YEAH!!!!Same issue at the dentist, sometimes the injection will not work. It's worrisome at times.
I went for root canal one time and I was in so much pain and the dentist couldn't believe it. He put novacain right on the root he was pulling out, and I nearly wnet through the roof. Then he waited a bit before going to pull the root and I almost bit the instrument in half. I told him to put the rubber thingies in my mouth to hold it open and I am going to hold on and he should just go and rip the root out as unless he puts me out, I am going to have the bite reflex. That's what we did, and I survived and he didn't lose any tools nor digits.

First of all, I don't follow you around the board. You post in threads that I have an interest in and I respond. I don't remember saying that you perform badly in your field. And the "incendiary & derogatory" things I say about you are in response to the persona you've chosen to display here at Plan B. And if you don't realize that my comment that included a reference to your 'reputation in the medical field' is a joke, then you've lost any sense of humor that I believed you had.TPFKA@W wrote:It's interesting Joe that you don't like being called "names" yet you think it is fine to follow me around the board saying whatever incendiary and derogatory thing that you want about me, and how I perform in my profession and how I am seen by other professionals in my field.
I "goggled" to research colonoscopies prior to having one done. I did watch the procedure as it was performed. Funny thing is, I remembered more and more about it as the days passed afterward.TPFKA@W wrote:You know squat. Now you have done a little goggling and think you know something. You should believe me when I say I watched during the procedure but it's not important to me if you don't. I believe what you wrote. Your doctor probably played the video for you because you have a history and he wanted to explain something to you.TPFKA@W wrote:What you likely saw was a video of the procedure after the fact. Are you really surprised by the tone of the posts I write that are directed at you? You are the one who claims to trip children and kick puppies. I only respond to the character you've displayed.TPFKA@W wrote:Of course your head is so far up your ass you already know how things look up there so the doctor likely thought he needn't bother.
I'll just assume that you're having a bad day, week or month.

Ouch, but I relate as I have had a lot of trouble with root canals even fillings. Sedation dentistry is a joke too....oldr_n_wsr wrote:OHHH YEAH!!!!Same issue at the dentist, sometimes the injection will not work. It's worrisome at times.

Re: One up the bum, no harm done
I always like "sweet air" and had no trouble when they gave it to me to do whatever work they needed. I have had caps on my two front teeth since they came in (came in with no enamel so were just "spongy" type thingies hanging there) and sweetair is all they gave me through childhood whenever I needed new caps which seemed like every 6 months as the mouth changes all the time when you are young. Now it's 5-10 years between new caps but it hurts like hell as the insurance doesn't pay for sweetair, only novacain.Sedation dentistry is a joke too....
