A BREAKFAST cereal aimed at children has a cartoon character called Big Baws on the packet.
Parents complained when they spotted the offending name on the back of chocolate flavoured Weetos boxes.
And now makers Weetabix have agreed to change it.
One parent said: “My six-year-old started chirping on about Big Baws the other morning. I nearly fell off my seat.
“When I found out it was this character on the breakfast cereal box, I was very surprised.
“It’s not appropriate for something which is so clearly aimed at children. But it is funny.”
Another parent added: “I was getting my boys’ breakfast ready this morning and I noticed it.
“I nearly choked on the cereal and my wife thought I was taking the mickey.”
The Weetabix Food Company claimed the Big Baws character is a play on words for “Big Boss”.

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Re: Big Baws
For those, (like myself) who had absolutely no idea what the fuss would be about this:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bawsbaws
scottish slang for testicles
he was booted in the baws

Re: Big Baws
I guess I can see how a cereal called "Big Baws=Big Boss" would be inappropriate for kids...NOT.
Now on the other hand if it was referenceing some part of the human anatomy yeah maybe...

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
Re: Big Baws
Awwwwww!A spokeswoman said: “We now understand that this phrase might also be interpreted in a different way in Scotland and are working on amending the pack."
I'm gonna hunt down a now "limited edition" Big Baws pack of weetos.
