FDR saved the world for democracy and saved capitalism by combining it with socialism.


He did a lot of things which, viewed narrowly, I think were wrong but his larger achievements overshadow all of them.

Lynn and I watched the HBO documentary on Reagan last night. Fascinatingly well presented I thought. Lynn thought the first hour was good but then fell asleep. Voodoo economics, Laffer, Iran-Contra - he sure left a looooong shadow.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
