Is this a repeat?

Post by Roo »

Same patern as 2010 and got the Weather warning this morning for flash flooding.
We are right in the middle of this storm cell and it is been two days of heavey rain.

If you look up Forest Hill Queensland http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&tab=wl you can see why I'm getting the willies up.

On the up side the dams are filling so the ducks and geese are happy and my wather tanks are full, so not all bad. It is enough now time to give someone else a turn I think.

We had a beauty go through on Xmas eve Roo, but since then just spicks and specks.

Send it our way mate, we could do with it. :)

That looks like one mother of a storm system you've got there...

Yesterday was beautiful sunny crisp day, which let me get out and get the last of my shopping and sending done without getting soaked, but it's been coming down steadily again today since this morning...

All good tonight. We have a new cell forming but not as big to hit Saturday. The bastard is I am taking a tour on Saturday night.

Have I told you? I run a ghost tour in the Ipswich cemertary, it is a wonderfull job except when it rains. It can add to the atmosphier if it is a misty shower but storms are not good.

WE had a nor'easter last night although it was a very mild one. Some wind, some rain, not much damage. Looks like the lighting company had taken note and had a truck parked down the block to take care of any outages right away. Maybe Sandy taught them something.
