Les Mis

Post by Guinevere »

Really really well done, the voices were excellent (except Russell Crowe, but it kind of fit his part), Hugh Jackman was incredible as Jean Valjean, Samantha Banks should get more attention as Eponine, and why did I ever stop listening to the soundtrack - the music is as terrific today as it was in the 1980s. It was like visting an old friend, only better. Plenty of hankerchiefs going in the theatre as well.

Some of the close in shots during the songs were a bit distracting to me, but I can see how they brought the audience right into the power of the music.

A must see on the big screen.

I'll stick to the book thanks, I HATE musicals.
