That's fine.

However if your original shower did not leak, and you were just replacing it for aesthetics, then according to YOUR link (since you find no fault in the equipment) it has to be pipe diameter.

In this case the Inside Diameter (ID) of the pipe and/the fitting that you used.

Which leads to, is the ID of the "Shark Bite" coupler that you used less than the recommende by the manufactuerer of said product?

If not, that only leaves the valve itself.

If it's pipe ID then get ready to sweat a joint.

I will refrain from any more comments on your home improvement projects though.

Continued good luck, you have done well without my comments anyway... ;)

They don't mention ID, (mostly since they didn't care about anything but the fixture) but, as you can see from the picture the sharkbites have an inner sleeve which would restrict flow below the 1/2 pipe that was originally used. (apparently by quite a bit)

Incidentally other than that they work great.

Uhh aren't you endangering your "Republican Credibility" by saying that? Aren't you all supposed to be amazingly self reliant and handy or at least self deluded enough to think so?

That's better than me, I've only done crisis management when my toilet exploded a few years ago.

The only 'real' plumbing Gob has done is when the dead otter he laid wouldn't be flushed.

I am just grateful I wasn't asked to assist in its dispatch.

If the spout isn't on, then it is hardly surprising there is no water coming out if it.

Ya've got to content if first laddie!

the plumbing from the valve to the spout. The sharkbites took about 3/16 off the diameter of the pipe. (quite the restrictor)

We have people who we hire out to do that type of work.

Why dirty our hands? 8-)

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.
