It has to be #8 as my university is at the forefront of the malaria research.

Most of the others are too UScentric to trouble me too much.

"It's the economy, stupid."

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Here's the really sad part:

This thread is rubato's idea of "humor"....

Since the thread is a complete waste of band space anyway, I thought I would improve it some what with a musical interlude...

This one's for you, rube

Hey, I like this thread rube started! Gave me a laugh! :)
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

No it's not! How many patents and Nobel prizes does it have?

Griffith holds the exclusive patents for 'education', 'pedagogy' and 'research'. The university itself has won the Nobel Prize for Bestest University for 40 years running.

Most important problem not listed: Unemployment/underemployment, especially among the younger population. Clearly, this dwarfs everything else.

Beautiful irony: Our Beloved President wants to wage a moral crusade to defeat "Global Warming," a phenomenon that would not be changed by a tenth of a degree if the entire U.S. population reverted to subsistence farming, while ignoring his own fiscal irresponsibility - a REAL problem - that may bankrupt the country within the forseeable future.
