Garaelb's interest in the board from a posting and being active standpoint is unchanged from what it was when he was LOA. Now he has plans to make money with it but that has nothing to do with taking a real interest in it.

Heh ... I was almost going to suggest to the G-Man that he also consider implementing Global Admins for the CSB.

I was on-line when Hubert started his spamming posts. I could have stopped him after 2 new threads instead of the dozen or so he started whilst the G-Man was asleep.

Somehow though, I doubt the G would be considering using Global Admins in his new enterprise.

Something of an anniversary.

It's now a year since the "front page video" of the Japanese tsunami was put up at the new CSB.

That makes it just over a year since my hysterectomy! Yay!

I note that the G has recently been online at the new CSB. Although he didn't post or anything. I have left him a message there and I hope he logs back in to respond.

Hello Hen, and the faithful.

I have been busy as you might expect. The work load of my job continues to grow and expand. If only the growth rate of pay were in stride with the rate of work I would be sitting well. It is a job though and I am fortunate to have one.

It is a curious thing that as I grow older I find myself in a situation of becoming a grumpy ol’ man more frequently. Curious, in so much as it seem my disillusionment, dissatisfaction, and overall disapproval of people at large equals my desire to understand the processes of why things are the way they are, and the paths people take that lead them to do the things they do, all of this in relation to myself and obtaining a better understanding of myself. Of old friendships and previous acquaintances, to paraphrase a popular speech, I find that I know half of them as well as I should like, and like less than half of them as well as they deserve. The things that people do and say, often to my own ability – or inability - to comprehend, appear to be breaded with a particular lack of care for others and spiced with malice for the sole purpose of inflicting suffering all the while promoting their own ambiguous importance to the world. I submit that people at large and in general are blathering idiots. And yet for some reason I adamantly remain a fan of mankind. That is not to say that the things that any one individual thinks feels or says is of any less or more importance than those of any other person, only that often times I believe that things left unsaid are wiser, and things left undone are better. But I beg the pardon of all who have read this thus far for surely I digress.



As for the future of the CSB, it is best at times to let a fever run its course. For in many cases the only way to grow is to shed the old skin. I realized that the only way to save the CSB was to let it go and then salvage what if any would be left. That being said, it is my intentions now that it seems as though the flames of war have died to quietly nurture the site again. Planting fresh seeds of new people and to begin again. Simply putting a fresh coat of paint over the old would not have changed the fact that it was old. Sometimes a thing is so broken that it is not possible to fix or repair the original, one must simply replace it. Therefore, slowly, cautiously, and in baby steps, will the CSB become born again. As new faces show up here and there so to will new building blocks. The founding ideals and principles of the CSB have not changed only the faces of those that will be carrying the torch.
