Atten: Married Men......Read This!
Sociologists say married men who spend more time doing traditionally female chores, such as cooking, cleaning and shopping, report having less sex than husbands who don’t do as much. Conversely, men who did more manly chores, such as yard work, paying bills and auto repairs, reported having more sex.
The study, using data on heterosexual couples in the United States from National Survey of Families and Households, appears in the February issue of American Sociological Review.
As a graph from the paper below, the difference is pretty stark between men who do a lot of “female” chores (core housework) and those who don’t.
Sexual Frequency (times per month) by men’s share of core and non-core housework. (American Sociological Review)
So what gives?
The scientists found that happiness, religion, gender ideology, and a range of other variables did not affect the relationship between more traditional divisions of labor and more frequent sexual activity.
Interestingly, previous research has found that women’s marital satisfaction increases as men participate more in overall household labor, and that includes traditionally female chores. But this study seems to indicate that such satisfaction does not translate into more sex.
The basic takeaway seems to be that even as the world becomes more gender neutral in the 21st century, gender and traditional gender roles remain important cues for human behavior.

From the National Survey of Families website:
Interviews were conducted in 1987-88, 1992-94, and 2001-2003.

Does it surprise anyone that any man who gets his self esteem from refusing to do any or the chores assigned to the "women-folk", proudly proclaiming it in a survey, would also fudge how much sex he has (and how much he satisfies her as well)? They might be having more sex, but I'd bet it's not with a partner.

You admit that? That must mean you do girly jobs. Real men use all inputs--or at least dream that they do.
Re: Atten: Married Men......Read This!
No that's a reciprocal agreement.
As for "Girly" jobs, I didn't get married until I was 38. I can and do it all.
Other jobs: My 1st riding mower lasted well past it's life expectancy because my wife did not use it, same can be said for all my tools (keep yer minds outta the gutter).
She does NOT take out the trash and I have to badger her continously to get the oil changed in her vehicle. I refuse to change the oil in her vehicle.
As for the other point in the OP we are both content, I'll leave it at that...

I own and manage my own home -- either I do it all, or I hire someone to do it for me (although I do as much as I can myself). The Swede is a great fixer of things, and a sounding board for ideas, but at my place, I still do the work, and he does the same at his place. BUT I have to admit, I would really really really love someone to take out the garbage and recycling for me. For some reason I just hate that particular job.

GAH!
Re: Atten: Married Men......Read This!
It don't bother me, I sure prefer it over the alternative...

I do as I'm told.
