I suppose that one could enhance what is already fabulous by making it even more fabulous. Sexual pleasure strikes me as mostly open-ended: No matter how good it already is, there is always room for it to be even better. (Until it results in death; that may be the best one has ever had, but it hardly seems to leave room for improvement.)
An aside: I have taken ecstasy exactly once that I know of. I found it to enhance tactile sensation in interesting ways. But as a sex drug, I rate it a flat zero. Its tactile effects were fascinating, but rather than making my penis want to come out and play, it made my penis want to hide until it was over. Fun drug, but no aphrodisiac.
Reason is valuable only when it performs against the wordless physical background of the universe.
