She of Jack Daniels breath, glitter unicorn get-up and romps with ghosts, Ke$ha, has written an autobiography. While we may have previously questioned her levels of literacy, the Ke$h-bomb now has on sale the creatively titled My Crazy Beautiful Life, which gives diehard fans (you know, the ones who supposedly send her their teeth) “an all-access pass” to her “whirlwind journey” of “being the worst actress in LA to living out my childhood dreams.” We’re sure every five-year-old with a penchant for jazz ballet and pop music dreams of spawning hits like “Blah Blah Blah” and “We R Who We R”. Anyway...
Packed with notable quotables – “The Galapagos seemed like a place trapped in prehistoric time, and y’all know I love that shit” – we skimmed through summaries of the Pulitzer-prize worthy literature, and thought, why should the fun stop at Ke$ha’s bio? She’s come out with loads of cringe-worthy drivel in the past, so there’s no point limiting The Top 20 Ke$ha quotes to a silly old book.
In defence of K-$izzle, being the purveyor of such senselessness can’t come easily. She is a prime example of a self-propagating image specialist, unless, really, she’s actually just being herself. Either way, let’s bask in the folly together, and wait with bated breath for her anticipated TV foray.
Loads of lovely dumbness here.
She said what?!?!?
She said what?!?!?
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
Re: She said what?!?!?
Fuck only knows O-n-W! They seem to be churned out by some sort of production line these days. All teeth and tits, doing a whore routine on stage while dancing to some bland pop pap. 15 minutes of fame then rehab.

OK I followed the link but couldn't get past the 1st quote.
Her mom saved her placenta?
Her mom saved her placenta?
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
Re: She said what?!?!?
If I infer correctly she's already bred
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: She said what?!?!?
That would be her child's placenta then wouldn't it?
Either way too wacky for me...

Re: She said what?!?!?
That sounds like it was written by Leonard Cohen....She of Jack Daniels breath, glitter unicorn get-up and romps with ghosts

Re: She said what?!?!?
If that we're the case she'd at least have the barest sense of poetry about her.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: She said what?!?!?
A quick lok at Ke$ha's lyrics should tell you all you need to know.
Utter shite.Wake up in the morning, feelin' like P. Diddy ([Hey, what up girl?])
Grab my glasses, I'm out the door, I'm gonna hit this city ([Let's go!])
Before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack
'Cause when I leave for the night, I ain't coming back
I'm talking pedicure on our toes, toes
Tryin' on all our clothes, clothes
Boys blowing up our phones, phones
Drop-topping, playing our favorite CDs
Pullin' up to the parties
Trying to get a little bit tipsy
Don't stop, make it pop
DJ, blow my speakers up
Tonight, imma fight
Till we see the sunlight
Tick, tock, on the clock
But the party don't stop, no
Oh, woah, oh, oh
Oh, woah, oh, oh
Don't stop, make it pop
DJ, blow my speakers up
Tonight, imma fight
Till we see the sunlight
Tick, tock, on the clock
But the party don't stop, no
Oh, woah, oh, oh
Oh, woah, oh, oh
Ain't got a care in world, but got plenty of beer
Ain't got no money in my pocket, but I'm already here!
And now the dudes are lining up 'cause they hear we got swagger
But we kick 'em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger
I'm talking about everybody getting crunk, crunk
Boys trying to touch my junk, junk
Gonna smack him if he getting too drunk, drunk
Now, now, we goin' till they kick us out, out
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net ]
Or the police shut us down, down
Police shut us down, down
Po-po shut us...
Re: She said what?!?!?
Who would have thought that someone who gargles with Jack Daniels would be the type that is not attracted to a man based solely on his looks? She's setting a fine example for the youngsters. And now the dudes are lining up 'cause they hear we got swagger

Don't judge a man by his looks, it's how he... er... how much money he has... or something.
Re: She said what?!?!?
What puzzles me is that there seem to be more and more song lyrics these days glorifying binge drinking and yet any reference to weed is bleeped out on the radio... sometimes in the same song.

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and the liver to prove it. Hopefully you will wake up before you are 50-something.Before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack
Alcohol's legal. The gov makes mucho money in taxes from it.Sean wrote:What puzzles me is that there seem to be more and more song lyrics these days glorifying binge drinking and yet any reference to weed is bleeped out on the radio... sometimes in the same song.
Re: She said what?!?!?
That shouldn't make it acceptable to encourage kids to binge...

Re: She said what?!?!?
In the US at least, it's not uncommon for clubbers to get a head start due to the high cost of club/bar drinks.
I'm only guessing but I would think that is the case here...

Yep, get cheap booze at the supermarket, get tanked up, go into town....

That's not what I'm talking about... I'm on my phone right now but when I get to a PC I'll find and post some lyrics to illustrate.

Re: She said what?!?!?
Acceptable has nothing to do with it, that is a moral judgement. Freedom of speech is what is at play here and the censors at whatever radio/TV station choose to broadcast. As business owners they have that right.Sean wrote:That shouldn't make it acceptable to encourage kids to binge...
I remember back in the late 70's when the Who came out with the song "Who are You" and one of hte lines was "who the F@#$ are you" and some stations played it and some just blanked it out.
Weed, booze, it's all up to the owners of the broadcasters.
Re: She said what?!?!?
Fair enough, but should artists take greater responsibility for the impressions that they're spoon feeding to their highly impressionable young fans?
Example:
Example:
Nickelback - This Afternoon
Better hang on if you're tagging along
Cause we'll be doing this 'til six in the morning
Nothing wrong with going all night long
Tough to put the brakes on, doesn't matter when you gotta
Get up and go out, me and all my friends
Drink up, fall down, then we'll do it all again
Just sitting around, hanging out this afternoon
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Re: She said what?!?!?
As a parent, I would like them too, but I would not impose a law on them. I'm a product of the late 60's and 70's and if people tried to impose restrictions on our speech or the speech of our artists, we would come out in force to protest that. Sadly, these same people (todays parents and grandparents) are those who are asking the gov to limit the same speech restrictions we would not have tolerated 40 years ago.Sean wrote:Fair enough, but should artists take greater responsibility for the impressions that they're spoon feeding to their highly impressionable young fans?
