In this thread some of us decided that the nest I found in my backyard was an oriole's nest.
A friend with great knowledge of birds and their nests, I guess you could say she's a bird brain, told me that what I have in my backyard is actually a bush tit's nest.

I googled Bushtit nest and came up with photos that looked strikingly similar to the one Joe submitted...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
