Can't view it but heard snippets of it on the radio. She is supposed to be going into Seafield rehab next month out in the Hamptons. I don't know waht this rehab will do for her other than keep her straight for a few months while in there. Any lessons she needed to learn she should have gotten at previous rehabs.
Sad story really.
Hope she gets it straightened out.
And she does look older than she is.

People can change it happens all the time. Others can help but in the end one has to do for ones self and one has to want to change.

Is David Letterman just an A hole?
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

I don't see anything assholish about Dave in the clip. He seemed genuinely concerned and also curious.

I don't think Letterman acted in anyway inappropriately...

He's known her since she was six years old, (when she first appeared on his show) and there's obviously a "comfort zone" between them, even though he was making a lot of jokes...(this is a comedy show afterall...)

But she knew that was coming...he didn't blind side her... (that's why she made the joke about having a tag on her dress....) and when she asked him to not ask some questions, he didn't....

I was impressed by Lohan's appearance in that interview...I thought she exhibited a very aware and healthy philosophical attitude about how she's currently seen in the press..She certainly didn't seem bitter or sullen about it....

She obviously wasn't drunk or screwed up in any way...

She seemed to be really well held together...

Maybe she'll finally stop being the later day Frances Farmer....

Whatever she does is going to have to be rather quickly if she wants to ake any real money during her career.

There is a use by stamp on the package and from this vid it's coming up quick...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

Who are these people and why should I care?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Probably one of the few times I've found common ground with him.

As you know I killed off my TV in 2001 and never looked back. I was at least a decade ahead of the learning curve.

Broadcasters Struggle To Tap Into The 'Zero TV' Crowd

by Lauren Hodges

April 07, 2013 5:46 PM

Broadcasters will convene this week in Las Vegas to discuss how to win back the "Zero TV Crowd": a rapidly growing demographic of people who don't subscribe to cable or satellite TV services.

The Associated Press reports that this group largely opts for Internet streaming of TV shows and movies, either on their computers or through mobile devices such as cell phones or tablets. Subscriptions to online sites like Hulu, Netflix and Amazon are climbing, eliminating the need for traditional viewing habits that require the viewer to follow network schedules and sit through commercials. This is a big concern for broadcasters as their ad revenues fall at alarming rates. Here's the AP:

"While show creators and networks make money from this group's viewing habits through deals with online video providers and from advertising on their own websites and apps, broadcasters only get paid when they relay such programming in traditional ways. Unless broadcasters can adapt to modern platforms, their revenue from Zero TV viewers will be zero."

The Nielsen Company gets the credit for the "Zero TV" label, after introducing it in its 2012 Cross-Platform Report. According to the study, the U.S. went from about 2 million Zero TV households in 2007 to more than 5 million now.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote in February that Nielsen will begin tracking Internet usage along with traditional ratings measures in order to keep up with the trend. Now broadcasters need a way to follow suit in order to reach the "Zero TV" crowd online.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Only stupid people follow the popular press.
By "stupid people" do you mean the kind of people stupid enough to say things like, "The British have had 4th rate navy since the American Revolution" and "The Poles weren't victims of the Nazi's" and "The Japanese wanted to have a declaration of war delivered before they started attacking Pearl Harbor"?

Because I suspect that even the most superficial follower of the popular press could avoid saying things that stupid....

I have no idea where one would go to dig up that kind of stupidity....

LMAO

It always cracks me up when the guy who has shown himself over and over and over again to be far and away the most poorly informed purveyor of ignorant notions on this board actually has the nerve to call anyone else "stupid"...

He's even too dumb to realize how ignorant he is....

I did the same thing around the same time, maybe even a little earlier. And John Prine was at least three decades ahead of both of us:

"Spanish Pipedream" AKA "Blow Up Your TV" was first recorded in 1971; the above version was, ironically, performed on TV (PBS) in 1980.

Yes but, did you read the article -- the "zero tv" crowd don't not watch tv, they just source what they watch in a completely different way - using the Internet to stream programming, mostly for free. Or using subscription services that cost much less than cable.

As for pop culture, I think it's always interesting to see what's new and what might possibly become relevant . . . because: 1) there is a good chance some of it might stick, and 2) I want to know what my boys know so I can keep up
