Hatch has just had an interview, and been given a job, as a retail assistant at JB Hi Fi.
The poor bugger has been putting herself forward for the last few months, trying desperately to get her first job, without luck as she has limited work experience, (mainly in voluntary work with kids.)
So next week she'll be starting her first "proper" job.

You said it not us. Heck you even admit to its common usage so you knew it would be misconstrued in such a manner. You could have just as easily said "hatch got a job" "hatch is now gainfully employed" etc... But you deliberately chose the one casting her as a prostitute. You have some serious issues you need to deal with there.
BTW... Congrats Hatch!
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Oh no... That's too painful to even think of....
Mind you, I'm in the market for a new telephoto lens.
