I was commenting on that quote from Dave's post too; it was also meant as just a general comment on the thread as a whole.
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

We all have opinions on what the Constitution says. And we all disagree with different things the Supreme Court says the Constitution says. If only Dave were the Supreme Court, then the law would be what he says it is. But last I checked, he was not the Supreme Court. So until then, he remains patently and almost universally wrong.

Congress has the power to regulate interstate commerce ("To regulate Commerce ... among the several States" (U.S. Const., Art. I, Sec. 8)).
Congress chooses to regulate the terms of that purchase-and-sale contract.
Come on, dgs49, enlighten us.
Explain to us how that is not a constitutional exercise of Congress's power to regulate interstate commerce.
Really.
The seller is in one State, and the purchaser is in another State. How is that not a transaction in interstate commerce?
You made the claim. Back it up.
Or, as usual, don't.
I, in California, purchase a health-insurance policy from an insurer in Minnesota. That is, the insurer in Minnesota sells a health-insurance policy to me, a purchaser in California.dgs49 wrote:... the national government is prohibited from actively participating in such private (and state) matters as health care ....

Perhaps you could post it again I case he didn't see the other three.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Perhaps I will post it again and again and again until dgs49 grows some balls and answers it.
Perhaps I will post it again and again and again just to remind us how demented dgs49 really is.
Perhaps I will post it again and again and again merely because it amuses me to do so.
Why do you care?
