Whites Need Not Apply....
Re: Whites Need Not Apply....
I imagine Kevin Costner could play a "Hemmorhoid", although Tom Cruise would be a better choice.
Lib--Generally, racial restrictions on property (like refusing to sell a house to a black person, e.g.) or in employment are not enforceable, but here the courts will uphold it for artistic integrity.

I don’t care, coin all the words you want as long as you are clear in their meanings and don’t abuse words. For example a hero and a Good Samaritan are two separate things. A good Samaritan is a person that does good deeds like CPR but a Hero is someone that places himself at risk for another without regard for reward.Rick wrote:Caucasoids, Chineseoids...better watch out they'll start referring to you as a Hemorrhoid...
Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

No, I just march to different drummer. I knew you were making joke, but I have been waiting for an opportunity to get that off my chest. Someone rescues a kitten from a tree limb and he is called hero. He is not a hero unless the tree is on fire. What is wrong with doing good deeds and being a Good Samaritan?Rick wrote:Lib turn on a light you seem to be fumbling in the dark...liberty wrote:I don’t care, coin all the words you want as long as you are clear in their meanings and don’t abuse words. And a guy scores a winning touchdown or hits the winning homerun, and he is a "hero"; or someone brings in an important contract or sale and is hailed as a "hero". Likewise all the people killed when the planes hit the world trade center/pentagon were called "heroes" (I have no doubt some of them behaved heroically, but a lot are just victims who might not have had any time to act at all). The word has lost any semblance of its previous meaning and has ceased to have any real meaning; kind of like a standing ovation--I rarely saw them before, now every show I go to has the audience standing and applauding, and Jay Leno gets a standing ovation every night. If everyone gets one, it's fairly worthless. No, I just march to different drummer. I knew you were making joke, but I have been waiting for an opportunity to get that off my chest. Exactly, and for someone to earn a standing ovation one should have to do something fairly extraordinary just showing up is not good enough.

Re: Whites Need Not Apply....
I wanted to use the cat / kitten in the tree because it is an image well set in the American mind. If you can come up better a analogy feel free to do and I may even give you a stand ovation if it is warranted.Rick wrote:Again:Come on Lib pick better analogies...Rick wrote:If a cat refuses to leave burning tree on it's own...

Your ok there is nothing wrong with you. Communication is one of the hardest things that people do; that’s the reason great communicator are so admired. Communications is hard that is why God invented questions.dales wrote:Good, but some of your responses have me confused.
