Oh Good Lord, Tomorrow's Mother's Day...

Post by Lord Jim »

I sent my sister a box of chocolate dipped strawberries, (that she and my niece really like) and we've got a lot of mothers around here...(I really miss mine... :( )

My brother-in-law Roman Craig, has made reservations for us at the House Of Prime Rib... (The Queen Mum, Lady Kelly, our two, his two, and Little Sister)

(He really knows where to hit me; I can't say no to a 24 ounce prime rib, Beefeater martinis and a good bottle of wine...I offered to split the bill, but he insists on paying...the fact that the man is an insufferable braggart who is finally managing to accomplish something and wants to show off, has its advantages...... 8-))

Who, me?

I envy you going to the House of Prime Rib (even though you have to listen to that wind bag b-i-l of yours) drink a lot and it won't be too bad.

It's mother's day here too, we're having the M-I-L over for a meal, (Goan Fish curry, passionfruit custard pie,) Hen has got her gifts.

Hatch is at her dad's today, but will be back for a basketball match later, and will be with us for the meal. (God it's weird now she has a license and a car, and can drive herself about the state.) I'm sure Hen will be given something apt.

UK mother's day is March 10, so we're over that one.

My gift to my mother couldn't really be given today...I'm fixing the A/C in her car (bad compressor), but it hasn't been warm enough to do it yet.

It's okay that it's not warm enough to install the compressor, Jarlaxle.

Be sure to wrap it up real nice before you give it to her, though. I wish I could be there to see the look on her face when she opens it.

I'm sure it will be a Mother's Day she will never forget... :D

We went over the in-laws house to celebrate Mothers day on saturday. My wifes sister and cousins and their mom were there. I got there late as a buddy of mine needed to get into rehab/detox immediately. The only place that had a bed and would take him was out in Greenport about and hour and a half from my house. (more on that in my alcohol thread).

On Sunday, my wife and I once again drove out east to a Garden center she likes and then spent the afternoon walking around downtown Greenport. It was our 29th anniversary.

And dales, I miss my mom too. She passed away in 1998.
