Good Grief!!

'Charlie Brown' actor pleads guilty to stalking
Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY10:03 a.m. EDT April 11, 2013

The voice of the cartoon character faces up to three years in prison.
Peter Robbins

The man who was the voice of Charlie Brown in early Peanuts specials was in court Wednesday in San Diego, where he pleaded guilty to threatening and stalking both his ex-girlfriend and a plastic surgeon.
Charlie Brown

Peter Robbins, 56, was arrested in January for threatening Lori Saltz, a doctor who performed breast enhancement surgery on his girlfriend, Shawna Kern, according to Deputy District Attorney Elizabeth McClutchey.

City News Service reports that Robbins paid for the surgery, but then got angry.

Kern, a Los Angeles resident, told investigators she and Robbins got into a fight in which he grabbed her by the neck and demanded that she go with him to get back the money he paid for the breast job, reports AP. She says their relationship ended then.

But, prosecutors say, Robbins called his former girlfriend dozens of times a day and told her he would kill her and her son if she did not give back his dog and car. They say he made similar threats and demanded a refund from the plastic surgeon.

Robbins was 9 years old when he began doing vocal performances for films and television specials including A Boy Named Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

He is facing a sentence of up to three years in state prison, reports AP.

In court he stated, “Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.”

With Charlie and Kermit down I think they've completely succeeded in raping my childhood.

Yeah, he's talking about Elmo..

I remember years ago seeing Elmo appear on a special Christmas time edition of The Frugal Gourmet (hosted by Jeff Smith, another child molester who is now hopefully roasting in hell) with a bunch of little kids...

At the time I thought it was really cute...

Now all I can think is that they were probably swapping pervo seduction tips between takes...

(I hope those kids got away without being fondled...)

And then there's the entire Pee-Wee Herman thing.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

What Herman did was strange, (it happened in '91 before the internet was big, but people had VCRs...He could have watched all the porno he wanted in the safety of his home without risking his career as a very successful kiddie show host...maybe he was just very self destructive) but I certainly wouldn't put him in the same category as child molesters like Kevin Clash, (Elmo) and the vile Jeff Smith...

Stalking and threatening is also twisted behavior worthy of punishment, but again it's not really fair to lump the voice of Charlie Brown guy together with child molesters....

Oh, I get it now...

You were referring to Kermit Gosnell, the murdering abortion doctor....

It was sort of like a joke, only without the funny part.... :P

At the university of Maryland (from where my duaghter graduated with honors, magna cum laude) there is a tribute to Jim Henson (he went there for a semester or two). It's a statue of Jim Henson sitting on a park bench with Kermit (the frog) sitting on his lap. Supposedly Hanson started up some curriculum about puppets or something like that at the school.

I just had a genuine WTF moment reading that post Jim. The small text size on my phone meant that your closing bracket wasn't immediately apparent. :?
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
