For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Still a total waste of time. I would ask that dales thinks before he posts threads this run of redactions is making me think about instituting an editing limit
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

What is worse...?

A post that is redacted or a redaction that is posted?

Is one worse or is one better?

If so, how come or why?

Or how about a post that should have been redacted but wasn't?

Some people are so driven by their need to be correct at all times that they will argue with someone who refuses to argue with them.

That method ensures a victory for the only person arguing.

I've posted some crap on here and elsewhere over the years but have never felt the need to redact my words. Seeing something like this makes me wonder how hateful and/or offensive the OP must have been.

Stand by your words. You can always apologise for them later...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Why would you think it was hateful?

Maybe it was just stupid... :D

Perhaps the redaction wasn't needed in the first place b/c there was nothing there.

Yeah Sean, I don't see Dale posting anything particularly hateful....(he just doesn't seem like that kind of guy...he's such a fuddy duddy he won't even post a curse word with its proper spelling... 8-) )

Just something he thought better of....

On my list of objectionable behaviors around here, a guy deleting something he said because he thought it was unnecessarily impolite, or juvenile, etc, doesn't rank very high...

I admit I would have preferred that he hadn't redacted what he said about eliminating English instruction for non-English speakers in public schools, because that was substantive, and removing the post probably made the follow-ups look kind of odd for anyone who hadn't seen the original OP...

In that case I agree, the better thing to have done would have been leave the original post and say that you were mistaken, or had changed your mind, etc...

But when somebody decides to remove a personal remark they've made shortly after they've made it, I really don't see the harm in that....

(In the case of this thread, I think that "Topic redacted" may just have been a joke from the outset.... 8-) )

Lord Jim nails it again!

I was fooling around with the ASCII and wanted to see what would transpire.

The bbs code requires something in the subject line, now wether it is visible or not depends.

My intention was not to stir up any hard feelings b/c I like everyone here.
