With all the doings in Egypt, I was looking to see if Al Jazeera America had yet taken over The Gore TV Channel...
(It hasn't)
When what to my wondering eyes should appear but something called "WPLS" (channel 339 on the San Fran Comcast dial) which appears to show nothing but...
Cricket...
Yes...24/7, Cricket...some "matches" were listed, (like Lancashire VS. Notinghamshire and Mumbai Indians VS. Rasjasthan Royals ) as viewing fare, as well as something bizarrely titled, "Cricket Highlights"...(obviously the owners of this channel have a flair for the oxymoronic....)
Just the ticket I thought....It's 3 AM and I'm wide awake...This will put me right out...
Imagine my disappointment when I discovered I couldn't get it, as it's a subscription service that I hadn't ordered...
So tomorrow I think I'll call Comcast and see how much they're willing to take off my bill if I allow this into my home...
Surely that's what they meant...
So I'm Clicking Thru Some Of The Obscure Cable Channels

Norhing more exciting than a game that goes on for five days and can still result in a draw.
Afternoons at my caravan up on the coast listening to Test Match Special with a jug of Pimms. Life doesn't get any better

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
