Plans to create a Cornish Embassy in London have been announced.
The Cornwall Development Company said it was looking for an office site on behalf of the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
The embassy would showcase the county's assets and strengths.
The Cornwall Development Company said the building would also act as a base for meetings with business leaders to try and attract investment to the county.
Roland Tiplady, from the LEP, said: "If we want to expand the influence of Cornwall we have got to be in London and showing people in London this is a good place to do business.
"Companies that come to England always go to London first. Unless we have a presence there, they will never consider us."
Local companies, including St Austell Brewery, are supporting the plan for an embassy.
James Staughton, the director of the brewery, said: "As an ex-Londoner I have always harboured an ambition that Cornwall has an embassy in London where we can showcase all the wonderful parts of Cornwall."
The LEP and the Cornwall Development company are currently investigating the costs of setting up an embassy in the capital.

I understand that the Celtic people of southern Britain refer to England as the lost lands. The way to gain independence for Cornwall is to start demanding the return of the lost lands, but be willing to compromise and open negotiations with the government. If they refuse to negotiate you can then protest and accuse them of intransigence. I think that your chances are at lease as good as the American Indians.

Well then here's a thought...."If we want to expand the influence of Cornwall we have got to be in London and showing people in London this is a good place to do business.
"Companies that come to England always go to London first. Unless we have a presence there, they will never consider us."
How about opening up a London office for something like, The Cornish Chamber Of Commerce", rather than trying to pretend that you're a foreign country?
I'm not no sure how replacing not being considered for business investment because they nobody's heard about them with not being considered for business investment because they're a bunch of delusional loonies represents a great improvement....

Well it worked for the Irish , but do you expect to see a Cornish flag flying at the UN anytime soon.

Let's put it this way Liberty, the Cornish Nationalist Party, Mebyon Kernow, (MK) got less that 2% of the votes at the general election, and only 4.2% of votes in local elections.
Their vote has been declining consistently over the years.
Look at this summary of votes cast for MK:
9421 votes: 2005 county council elections
8919 votes: 2007 district councils elections
7290 votes: 2009 unitary council elections
6824 votes: 2013 unitary council elections.
Going into the last election they had 6 councilors (out of 123) after the election they had 4.
They are a local joke.

Huge Turnout Expected!

Huge Turnout Expected!

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
