Detroit Tigers
Re: Detroit Tigers
For your team, yes. For the real baseball teams, it's just getting going.

Re: Detroit Tigers
Our team was a little tired this year from
Winning the World Series the previous 2 out of 3 years!!!

Re: Detroit Tigers
And of course having the greatest multiple comebacks last season in the playoffs in the history of baseball...Winning the World Series the previous 2 out of 3 years!!!
The San Francisco Giants won six elimination games with their backs to the wall in the first two rounds of the playoffs, and then went on to beat the team that had spanked the Yankees in four straight...
You can't expect a team to do what no other team ever did before every year...

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
Re: Detroit Tigers
Yawn -- my Sox were the first team of the 21st Century to win multiple World Series Championships, so been there, done that, and STILL PLAYING for a return to the WS this year.
See you Giants fans in April . . . . meanwhile the rest of us grownups will be watching more great baseball

Oh yeah... that's right!Guinevere wrote:Yawn -- my Sox were the first team of the 21st Century to win multiple World Series Championships...
I forgot that Boston had been in the World Series in 1918 and soon after in 2004...
Re: Detroit Tigers
Those were the year they won the Series, Joe. They made it in 1946, 1967, 1975 and 1986. Being a Giants fan does not mean you have to be a Red Sox hater. Can't we all just get along?
Re: Detroit Tigers
That's a valid point Long Run...Those were the year they won the Series, Joe. They made it in 1946, 1967, 1975 and 1986. Being a Giants fan does not mean you have to be a Red Sox hater.
Afterall, it's not like the Red Sox are the Dodgers....

Re: Detroit Tigers
I don't hate the Red Sox. I was responding to Guinevere's post where she didn't consider the SF Giants to be a 'real team' and their fans are not 'grownups'.Long Run wrote:Those were the year they won the Series, Joe. You should have directed your post at Guinevere. She started it.....
Re: Detroit Tigers
Well, those were *some* of the years they won the Series --- 7 times in total. Precisely the same number of times the Giants won the Series . . . .Long Run wrote:Those were the year they won the Series, Joe. They made it in 1946, 1967, 1975 and 1986.
As for "starting it" the yawns coming from the West Coast seem to be the beginning of the baseball snark . . . .

Actually, I like the Redsox.
It's their fans that have questionable character....

Jesus Fucking Christ.
Still, the Tigers will prevail in 7.

What the hell sport is this? World series? How many countries are participating? I assume at least 8 or more, or the title 'World series' is meaningless. Also likely that watching paint dry or cricket is morn entertaining.

Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

It's a small world after all
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

There are at least five countries involved!Beer Sponge wrote:What the hell sport is this? World series? How many countries are participating? I assume at least 8 or more, or the title 'World series' is meaningless. Also likely that watching paint dry or cricket is morn entertaining.![]()
