You just can't say that out loud (or write it) around people who think you should not say how you feel because somebody might have their feelings hurt.
Well not having patience is one of my character flaws which I, with the help of my higher power, am working on. And me getting worked up about it does nothing to relive the situation as the flashing driver does not hear me yelling and screaming. So these are situations I need to relax and recite the serenity prayer.

But I do wish they would take the side roads and as someone else said, at least get to the right.

If we didn't already know, this is a give away that you're not from The City.

Long Run, I'm well aware of the fact that the locals don't like the term "Frisco"...

I use it just to be annoying... :P

"The City" means something else entirely over here.

San Francisco is The City by the Bay and Lord Jim is an alien. San Francisco doesn't care about that anymore.

I ignore the comments Friscans have about Frisco
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

I'm sure there are plenty of people in Redwood City who were born in San Francisco.

Never been to Frisco. Heck, the only time I was in Ca was a two hour stop over on my way home from Hawaii. It was 6am and the bars in LAX were closed.

At the risk of jinxing it by speaking too soon, we seem to have had it pretty good by comparison - temperatures in the 20s, hardly any snow yet, including absolutely none over the past couple of days while the poor folks just south of the lakes got buried under 3 feet of the stuff.

England are already feeling the heat on and off the pitch, and things are only going to get worse, with the weather bureau predicting the third Test in Perth will be the hottest Test in the west for 20 years.

Temperatures up to 39 degrees are predicted for the Test, a match that was already earmarked as a tricky assignment for the tourists, given they have not won at the ground since 1978 and will come up against a fired-up Mitchell Johnson on a bouncy WACA Ground strip.

''We'll hopefully enjoy it more than the Poms,'' George Bailey said of the expected heatwave.

But former Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark, who averaged 19 with the ball at the WACA Ground, believes the impressive fitness levels of the modern player will hold the English bowlers in good stead.

Figures, I did speak too soon. We're supposed to get 8 inches of snow this weekend.

Well there is a local jewelry store that is promoting that if you buy from them during certain dates in December and then it snows 3 inches or more on Christmas day you can get your money back for what you bought. The current weather pattern is calling for 3-6 inches of accumulation tonight. More snow then anticipated next week. I am guessing the individual who thought up the ad campaign for the jewelry store is getting a bit nervous.
