Plan B's Person of the Year Award - OOPS! I forgot Alice....
First of all, let me get this out of the way. Gob is by far the person who has the most impact on this board. He keeps this place alive with a wide variety of new topics and his colourful thoughts and ideas.
That's why he is the only person who cannot be chosen for Plan B's Person of the Year Award 2013. It is a given. Besides, as an administrator he probably has the power to change votes in a poll.
So, technically this is a vote for Plan B's 2nd Ranking Person of the Year of 2013.
I could only put 10 names in the poll, so those who are named in it meet the following standards:
1) Are among the posters with the highest post count
2) Have posted regularly throughout this year
You can also post your choice from anyone who is not named in the poll and doesn't meet one of the above requirements. It just won't show in the poll.
If you feel inclined, please comment on why you voted for your candidate - but it is not required.
You are allowed to change your vote if you have voted and then suddenly realize that you forgot about someone. The length of time the poll will be open will depend on how active this thread becomes or whether it self destructs and is excreted from the bowels of cyberspace due to lack of interest.
So, I'm going to click on 'Submit' before I think too much about this and delete it for being such a lame idea.

Voting for O-n-W for sharing the ups and downs of his amazing personal journey with us.

I don't vote in polls but will give my choice in the post as soon as I think of who should get my vote.
Re: Plan B's Person of the Year Award!!
When I first looked at this, I wasn't sure how, (or if) I was going to vote, but I found Strop's reasoning persuasive.

HEY!! That's discrimination!!!! I vote for me! Why? I'm clearly the most fun here!!! And that's without pants! Imagine that!1) Are among the posters with the highest post count

Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

Hey BS, if I were going to vote for someone based solely on their humor value, I'd have voted for rube...
He's far and away the funniest guy here, and he's able to accomplish that without even trying...

I agree with Gob & Lord Jim.
Oldr has been very inspirational with his story, his character and his overall demeanor here at Plan B.
I will never learn to act more like him but he is an inspiration nonetheless...

I voted for rube, he's got both humour and volume! Add in throwing insults and he's a triple threat!!Lord Jim wrote:Hey BS, if I were going to vote for someone based solely on their humor value, I'd have voted for rube...

He's not always wrong, except perhaps in presentation!

She can take my spot
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

She has a lower post count than the ten on the list.Sue U wrote:So, Guin is chopped liver now?

Hey Joe (sorry couldn't help myself) her posts although less less than mine are of considerably more substance.
It won't hurt my feelings if you dump me for her, besides she has a Swede that's gotta be worth style points

That's right Daisy!! Every one of my posts is hand crafted by master craftsmen, and then steeped in quality for hours. Only then is it ready for planb!!!

Well, they're certainly "steeped" in something, but I'm not sure that "quality" is the first word that comes to mind...Every one of my posts is hand crafted by master craftsmen, and then steeped in quality for hours.

I guess few or none of you read my opening post. You can vote for anyone who has posted here this year if you want to. Just declare your vote in a post. It won't show in the poll but it will show when I list the final number of votes.Rick wrote:It won't hurt my feelings if you dump me for her, besides she has a Swede that's gotta be worth style points

I try to be a practitioner of The Editec Doctrine, Joe...I guess few or none of you read my opening post.
Once, when asked "Do you ever bother to read what was written before you respond to it?" Editec replied, "No. That would just slow me down."...
