Another snowstorm!

Minus 6 (fahrenheit) at 530 this morning. That's minus 21 Celsius for you furriners.

Before we came to SA (and even after arriving), Afrikaners warned us about the heat of the summer - "Oh you'll suffer" they said. And for almost five years we've laughed at their "summer" - yes it's warm but not so bad.

Today and for the past many days we've finally got what they meant. Temps in the mid 30s and up. Sitting here sweating into the keyboard (not a good thing). And missing an Ohio winter.... whodda thunk?

-23C here this morning, -34C with the wind chill. Heading to the bottle depot to return my empties. Shoveled out the windrow last night, graders left a four foot high by five foot deep one it blocking my front walk. Looks like I've got about three or four feet of snow covering my yard right now. No worries.

...and Sunday morning, -31C, down to -40C (or F, whatever a this temp!) with the wind chill. Taking the family for an outing today!

hasn't got that cold here yet. That's coming this afternoon.

got about 12" thurs/fri. Down in the single digits on the temp. Don't know what the wind chill makes it. Plowed out the driveway, and the neighbors (multiple) driveways. My toes got very cold then I put the hand warmer thingies in my boots and all was well. 55F here now, but they are saying it's back into single digits again tonight.
50 degree swing in less than 24 hours.

Glad my fellow new englanders made it through.

57 and pouring rain right now, heading to single digits tonight - with fog and ice warnings. That is a 65 degree temp swing in 48 hours. Then 50 degree swing in 12.

Same here on LI. Last thursday and friday were very cold. Weekend was tolerable. Lots of fog last night.
