I've heard from O-n-W again, hopefully he will rejoin us after the period of grief has passed,.

His sponsor says we're good for him!

We're good for someone? That can't be right. Perhaps he's good for us... :ok
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

I may not be coming back. Been much more at peace lately. Been working on my character flaws (with the help of sponsor and support group) and don't know if I want to "awaken" the flaws that were on display when posting/responding. This is something I have to work on (with meditation, soul searching, help and prayer) so for now I will remain "absent" from the forum. I do miss everyone, but I need to first sort myself out if/when I come back.
Say hi to all for me.

You can post this to let Jarl (and others) know.

O-N-W,

I just want to add that you are a Gentleman and true scholar. \ Older and now much Wiser.

We have known each other for a very long time.

You have been through some very tough times as have I. Let me be cliche' What does not kill us makes us stronger.

The likes of "rubato"? is not relevant in the greater scheme of things. Only in that we have a measure of our inner strength to supersede and overcome any and all diversity. The measure of a man is Not in how many times he gets pushed down. But in how many times he gets back up again.

Peace brother. Much love.

Yours in success,

Timster 8-)

Tim, I'll cut-n-paste, and email that to him, if you'd like.

That would be great Gob. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. :ok

Sorry about the delay in responding but we have been in a labor crisis of late and as Senior Operations Manager I have been pulling triple shifts to cover the shortage. So thank you. 8-)

It's nice to see you posting Tim, but please do not over-work yourself; you don't need another heart attack... :?

Timster thanks you are a good guy through all the years. Hope your heart problems are getting better. As you said, that which does not kill us makes us stronger.
It's not rubato or anything posted that was/is the problem. It's how I was taking things that I needed to step back and evaluate myself. Some people respond to the slights/nastyness but unless it's a threat to me and mine (which the internet rarely is) I just let it lay there. Sometimes silance speaks louder than words. Not everyones choice, and that's ok by me.
But I was getting the urge to lash out and belittle and that's not someone I want to be. I try and have meaningful discussions and learn from all. But my thinking was stinking lately. The break has done me good and I can't say when/if I'll be back. I do miss it and ALL the people, but my heads in a much beter place right now.
I've gotten back up, and I think sometimes it's just better to turn the other cheek and walk away rather than punch back.
Thanks again

Hi everyone. Back for a bit, looking around seeing what's going on. Really wish there wasn't a thread started for me taking a leave, but there is so I'll start here.
First off, thanks for all the well wishes regarding the passing of my mother in law. She was a kind lady who always put her family first. I am a better person having known her. We all lost a piece of ourselves with her passing. She will be missed. I am not one to visit the cemetary, but I find myself going to visit her grave. To put it into context, I have only visited my grandparents graves twice since they have died. Grandpa died in 1984 and grandma in 2004 (I think that was the year).

Second, I wish people hadn't piled on rubato as my leaving was not about him and what he posted. It was about my reaction to those posts. I cannot change how he, or anyone else, posts. I can only change my reaction to those posts. While I may not have expressed the feelignngs/reactions I did have, I had them none-the-less and I did not like them. I needed to clear my head, work on myself and my defects and ask my higher power for help with them. Normally I would let things be, but things were geting to me and putting me in a mood and frame of mind that I did not like. One thing I have learned is that I am a "work in progress" and as long as I try to get better and be a better person, all will be well.

To rubato;
I am truly sorry that my leaving was the cause of backlash directed at you. It was not my intent to gather sympathy or any kind of "back up" for any opposing opinion I may have toward your views. They are your thoughts and opinions and you are entitled to hold them.
Once again, I'm sorry I was the cause of this.

To all, taking a break again. Play nice, be nice and try to do the next right thing (here and especially in RL).
