I have a bunch of 78 RPM records that were given to me by one of my Mother's friends back in the 1980's. I took them because I had/have a Victrola and wanted to see how they would sound and thought they might be valuable.
Well... woop dee do! I played some of them in the 80's and they've been in my closet since then. Some of these are albums. Albums of 78's are like photo albums. It's a collection of songs with each record (one song each side) placed in a sleeve inside a book-like album.
Does anyone have any idea what I could sell these for? You'll probably say it depends on the song and artist. I'd have to dig in there to list them but I do remember there is one of Enrico Caruso singing 'Vesti la giubba'. All of the records are in good condition.
Maybe I'll sell the whole group for $50.00.
Whattaya think?
Wanna Buy Some 78's?

“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Thanks, Gob.
I'll need to get my records together and check to see if the website can tell me whether they are highly valuable so I can trade them in on a new and larger house.

Re: Wanna Buy Some 78's?
If they are in book form and are fairly (the discs themselves) thick they may be the copies that copies are made from and they tend to be worth a little more.
That's what I hear I'm not a collector

Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
