Pondicherry mackerel

Post by Gob »

Made this the night before last.

It was so good I made it again last night. Thinking of doing it again tonight too!

That does sound tasty....

Any recipe that calls for 10 cloves of garlic is usually gong to be a winner with me... :ok

Though I think I might go with a spicier chili powder...

It's a cracker Jim, seriously. Dead simple. I agree with upping the spicyness a touch.

Got any fish curry recipes to share?

I'm a big fan of Goan fish curry; there are about a thousand different recipes on the interwebz in varying complexity, but I like to keep it simple: process together chili peppers, coriander seeds, peppercorns, garlic, turmeric and tamarind into a paste, add coconut milk to thin to the consistency of heavy cream. Pour into pot, bring to boil. Add slices of firm-fleshed fish, simmer til fish is cooked through, add salt to taste and serve over rice.
GAH!

Rather eat the fish than raccoons. But to each his own.
