Eurovision entry was “two boobs too far” for one British judge, who marked Donatan & Cleo down despite the UK voting public loving them.
“We Are Slavic” was ranked first by UK voters but placed last by the country’s expert jurors, with soprano Laura Wright arguing that it “took away from what the contest is about”.
“I’d say it was soft porn. It was two boobs too far for me,” she told Metro. “It’s obvious why their performance has gone down well but that makes me really sad from a woman’s perspective.”
Wright added that Donatan & Cleo’s act was particularly shocking as Eurovision is a family event, meaning it “stuck out for the wrong reasons”.
“You could see the obvious male appeal but there was no attention paid to the actual song – it’s not supposed to be about buxom ladies washing their intimates on stage,” she said.
BBC commentator Graham Norton struggled for words after the Polish girls performed on Saturday and eventually finished in 14th place, three above the UK’s Molly Smitten-Downes.
Norton lampooned “We Are Slavic” as a “feminist anthem” while likening it to “Carry on up the Eurovision”. “I’ve never seen butter churning get a reaction like that before,” he said.
Leicestershire singer-songwriter Molly came 17th with 62 points for her self-penned entry, “Children of the Universe”.
Austria’s bearded drag artist Conchita Wurst was crowned winner, much to the delight of LGBT supporters across Europe and much to the disdain of Russian politicians.

I actually tried to watch the Polish video when you posted it in the other thread...but I just couldn't make it through, because I couldn't stand the music. Based on this thread, I tried it again--this time with the sound turned off. Much better.

We watched a few of the contestants in the hotel the last day in Paris. Pretty awful. Did see this one as part of the group. This was only crude and obvious in a different way. But they all stank to high heaven, ugly music.

since when has this hymn become England's national anthem (I thought it was God Save the Queen); more of a hymn (but I do recall it being sung at the London Olympics.

Miss Wright has sung it a number of times at various sporting events; (though not including the verse my dreadful pun references) here she is singing it wearing the attire in question:

Interesting isn't it, that women with large breasts are condemned as "soft porn", but the bearded bloke dressed as a woman who wins is seen as not worth comment.

Apparently "sexualizing" the event with traditional Benny Hill type sexual innuendo was considered to be in "poor taste" by the "judges", but "sexualizing" the event with nontraditional sexual innuendo, (a bearded guy in a dress) was worthy of 1st Prize....

in the picture above, the electronic crawl has the words And Did those Feet in Ancient Times which, I believe, is from the hymn Jerusalem (which does mention England as well). Since it didn't have a soundtrack, that's what I assumed she was singing. I do like your words, though.
Edited to add: I note in the clip you attached no words were on the crawl behind her; perhaps she sang both songs?
Jerusalem is sort of the unofficial anthem for England. Certainly at sporting events and especially at the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final.
