Daisy, R-B, Sean our friends in the north

Post by Gob »

Just got this out of the library, watched two episodes. It got lots of plaudits, and I'm impressed by the period detail. I'm just finding it a bit "right on" if you know what I mean.

Have you seen it? Any thoughts?

We also see the machinations behind the scenes that affect their lives, often for the worse: slum housing projects, police corruption, the rise of Thatcherism, political sleaze,

So, the "rise of Thatcherism" is on the same list as slums and crooked cops...

Gee whiz, I wonder what the political slant of this one is ? ;)

Wow that's a blast from the past!

I remember enjoying it at the time, might have a rewatch during the world cup. I've bought a chromecast for the bedroom TV so I can access all my TV shows from there.
