I went to the grocery store today. Behind me in line was a 20something mother with a little girl who looked to be around 4. Four year old says to mommy "I need some money so I can buy this." pointing to something in the rack of crap they put there to tempt children. Mommy said to her, "If you want money you have to get a job and make some."
I wanted to hug her.

Hugging is good.
One sidebar: with the rise in popularity of the self-check out, the stores are finding their check-out aisle impulse purchase items dropping precipitously. Wonder what The Star foresees for itself?

I like to use the self checkout but not when buying a lot of produce. It would be funny if they lost more money than they gained by using it and taking jobs away.
