The thing that I really don't like about watching shows OnDemand is that there is a limited "rental" period, so if you only have time to watch 1/2 of an episode, you have to get back to watching it and finish it within a day. Otherwise, you have to start over from the beginning. I usually start the episode and then go do a chore for the next 20 to 30 minutes until I am back to where I left off. Needlessly annoying.
Yeah, I'm not thrilled about that either...(I've had to leave it running while doing something else a few times too, though usually when we sit down to watch something On Demand, we've put aside a block of at least a couple of hours.)

What seems to have become the standard for most networks now (except BBC America, which still allows fast forwarding of its programming :ok ) is that three or four days after the original airing you can watch shows On Demand with a greatly reduced commercial content, (fewer breaks with only a minute or two of commercials) even though you can't fast forward.

In my opinion the worst one has become CBS, which runs some really insipid PSAs during their reduced commercial breaks. Some of those are so annoying I'd just about rather have to watch the shows with the full count of original ads then have to keep sitting through them.

The way he framed his brother was absolutely brilliant...(with the perfect alibi since he was still in the hospital with a cop sitting outside the door..)

I think the way Lester is finally going to get nailed, (or get away) is related to the tape Malvo made of Lester confessing to killing his wife when he called Malvo, that Malvo has kept...(Malvo played it for himself in one of the earlier episodes, so we know the conversation was recorded, and Malvo saved it)

I think that recording is going to be key to the denouement of the series...

Maybe it will fall into Molly's hands just when Lester thinks he's gotten clean away...

Or maybe Lester will get his hands on it in time to save himself...

But I'd bet money that recording is going to be central to the resolution of the plot...

Ol' Lester's got game now...

Looks like getting away with murder has done wonders for his confidence and self-esteem...

(And his libido... 8-))

But there are still two episodes left...

I thought I was avoiding that, just making a general observation, not going into specifics...

I apologize; in retrospect, I should have included a "spoiler alert" ...

I'll shut up about it now... ;)

Yes, the last two episodes were quite unexpected. Still don't know why the two officers that have a clue didn't take a trip to Baudette to shake hands with Pastor Frank Peterson.

Just watched Episode Nine...

But you won't get a word out of me...

I recorded Fargo last night and will watch it tonight. I'll miss it when it's all over.

I watched some of the 2nd season of Orange is the new Black this week. I didn't watch the first season. Even though it's about women in prison who are occasionally naked, I bet it probably appeals more to women than men.

I need to find a good old fashioned shoot 'em up series with head explosions and car chases. Those emotional chick shows don't have any of that...

That's just because you didn't see the first season finale
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I watched the season finale the other day, and truly appreciate the finality of it.

One could pick this whole series apart with its ludicrous improbabilities and ignorance of basic law/police stuff, but there would be no point. Pretty entertaining stuff.

It's a Black Comedy Dave; not a documentary...

I have some analysis I'd like to offer about it, but I'll hold off till everyone who wants to see it has had a chance to do so...

For that sort of fare, if you haven't already been watching it, I highly recommend 24: Live Another Day...(The return of Jack Bauer)

We binge watched the episodes that have already aired, over the past couple of days; really good cloak and dagger suspense action stuff with lots of unexpected plot twists...(It has a 9.1 IMDB rating, with over 11,000 reviews)

Another thing about 24: Live another Day for our non-American friends... 8-)

It's set in London, and Stephen Fry plays the British Prime Minister...

It's the first serious dramatic role I've ever seen Fry play, and he does it well....(Of course aside from the work he did with Laurie and Atkinson, the only other roles I've ever seen him play were the shrink on Bones and the Graham Norton knockoff TV host character he played in V For Vendetta... that was semi-serious...)

LJ, you should check out Fry in Kingdom; it's a very enjoyable dramedy about a small-town solicitor in which he plays the lead role.

I like Kingdom too, very low key gentle humour.
