Well what father wouldn't?

Post by Gob »

A father who walked in on a man allegedly sexually assaulting his 11-year-old son beat the man to a pulp before calling police to say they could come collect him from a 'bloody puddle' on his floor.

The 35-year-old man, who has not been identified, told a 911 dispatcher in the early hours of Friday: 'I just walked in on a grown man molesting [name redacted]. And I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now, officer.'

Police arrived at the Daytona Beach home in Florida to find Raymond Frolander, 18, unconscious.

A subsequent mugshot showed that Frolander had been badly beaten around the face, leaving him with swollen lips and eyes, bruising and lacerations.

When the 911 responder asked the father if any weapons were involved, he said: 'My foot and my fist'.

'He is nice and knocked out on the floor for you, I dragged him into the living room,' the father said. 'Send an ambulance. He is going to need one.'

The dispatcher asked: 'Is he still unconscious?' to which the father responds: 'Yes... I hit hard, sir.'

He said that Frolander was a 'damn lucky boy that I love my God'.

The father added: 'He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said. I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him.'

The father had left his home around 1am to pick up some food and when he returned, heard a strange noise coming from the bedroom, police said.

He pushed open the door and allegedly found Frolander with his pants down performing a sex act on the child.

The boy told investigators he had been playing video games with friends but when they left, Frolander took him to a back room and pulled down his pants. He also said Frolander had been abusing him for three years.

Daytona Beach police chief Michael Chitwood told MailOnline today that Frolander had a close family connection to the alleged victim.

The chief said the young boy was intimidated and told by Frolander that terrible things would happen if he revealed the abuse.

Chief Chitwood said: 'He's 11 years old, he should be running around outside and playing video games, not dealing with something like this.'

He earlier told the Daytona Beach News-Journal that the father was 'just acting like a dad'.

The father was not charged in the suspect’s beating, police spokesman Jimmie Flynt said.

Frolander was taken to Halifax Heath Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.

The arrest affidavit said that Frolander admitted the abuse.

The teen was charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 and is being held without bail. It was not known whether he's hired a lawyer.

Got off too lightly.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

The gist of the story is clear and no one weeps for the scum bag, but there are some question marks in this story.
The father had left his home around 1am to pick up some food and when he returned,
The boy [11 years old] told investigators he had been playing video games with friends but when they left,
So, no father of the year award. And this is all too familiar:
He also said Frolander had been abusing him for three years.

In that situation, I would contact the authorities to inform them that this unfortunate person was so distraught about his behavior that he committed suicide...

Yes, most molesters are family members or close acquaintances of the victim.

As to your other comments - are you for real???

I had very strict, responsible parents; nevertheless, during the summer vacation they were known to let me stay up late to keep reading a book I couldn't put down - I distinctly remember reading the Amityville Horror on exactly such a late, late summer night/early morning - when I wasn't even 9 years old, much less 11. I also sometimes would stay up very late to listen to the mystery program on the radio - the radio being inside a stuffed toy my grandmother gave me for Christmas. Age at that time? Probably around 7.

As you might recall, in those days, there weren't any video games and by 1am, the only TV we had was the static that played after the national anthem. If we'd had either, I might have been doing that instead of reading.

I'm quite certain that many good parents the world over have occasionally allowed their kids to stay up late on summer break . . . sometimes, they even enjoy the lie-in this affords them when their kids sleep late the next morning.

As for leaving the house to grab some food at 1am - have you seriously never had the desire to make a Jack in the Box run in the late/wee hours? Maybe the dad works second shift and doesn't get home until later, so this was his dinner. Or, maybe this was a chance for him to run out and hit the convenience store or all-night Walmart and grab some milk and other groceries when the stores aren't crowded - it can be a real pain in the ass to shop with kids in tow.

He thought there was a responsible older teenager (almost adult) in the home with his son. How can you fault him, not knowing his son was in any danger whatsoever?

Do you realize how many people come to the horrible realization every single day in this country that a family member or trusted dear friend has been molesting their child?

Way to blame the victim.
