RIP Rockfish
RIP Rockfish
James Garner was one of the most likeable actors of our time. There was a good chance you would like a movie he was in just because he was such a good guy (or at least on the screen he seems so). Rockford Files pretty much invented the very fallible "hero" that has become common place. Loved watching that show, even well after it went to reruns.
Re: RIP Rockfish
I have a faint recollection of watching Rockford Files - wasn't he a PI, living in a trailer, driving a Camaro? I definitely remember him as Brett Maverick (via re-runs, of course), and later as Maverick's father in the Mel Gibson/Jody Foster film version. He definitely seemed like a very good guy.

Re: RIP Rockfish
I recall him in Maverick and Rockford Files, but he was also in a lot of films ( I loved hi in Victor Victoria) and he would show up now and then on a lot of TV shows. Even his Polaroid commercials with Mariette Hartley were entertaining (although they spawned a lot of bad imitations). RIP
