Jim--if every (or even the majority) of perpetrators were ethnic Pakistanis, then identification might have made sense, but I don't see that in the post.

Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Rotherham council's director of children's services has resigned in the wake of a report which said 1,400 girls had been abused in the town.
Joyce Thacker had been under pressure to step down since the publication of the Jay Report last month.
The council said Ms Thacker "is to leave... by mutual agreement, with immediate effect" but refused to comment further.
It had revealed this week she was on sick leave.
The council's leadership had been accused of "blatant" collective failures in a report detailing the sexual abuse mainly by gangs of men of Pakistani heritage from 1997 to 2013.

stop telling the truth gob. that is insensitive.....
TALK ABOUT DICKENSIAN
My father was raised in the Sheffield/Rotherham area -- c.1920s. This current scandal may shed light on a far reaching pattern of "professional" abuse. He obviously learned from the masters.

An educational video warning schoolgirls about Asian grooming gangs was commissioned for schools in 2007 but was never promoted in the UK amid fears of appearing racist.
The 20-minute film, My Dangerous Loverboy, features an Asian man in his 20s grooming a younger white girl - lavishing her with gifts and getting her drunk before forcing her to have sex for money. It was commissioned by child protection chiefs based in Yorkshire following reports of vulnerable girls being passed around groups of men for sex, according to a TV producer who worked on the project. Despite winning plaudits at international media festivals, the video was hardly used as it was thought not to be politically correct, the Sunday Mirror reports. Yorkshire has since been shaken by the revelation that 1,400 girls were abused by Asian gangs in the town of Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. The female TV producer, who preferred not to be named: said: 'The project was set up to specifically raise schoolkids' awareness of the dangers.
'The police and social workers were very clear it was Asian men who were seducing white British girls. 'I can't help wondering how many girls the film might have saved from being sexually exploited if the UKHTC and police had put their needs before political correctness.' She said that men would find young girls in shopping centres and win their affections before forcing them to have sex with their male friends. The trailer for 'My Dangerous Loverboy - Stop Sex Trafficking' The movie was produced by a company called Eyes Open Creative, who say the aim was to 'open up people's eyes to the harsh realities of sexual exploitation'.
It was also commissioned by the UK Human Trafficking Centre (UKHTC), which is now part of the National Crime Agency. At the time of its release, the UKHTC said: 'We want this film to create awareness of the circumstances in which this kind of exploitation can occur, and encourage vigilance from everyone in a position to notice the behavioural and physical signs that indicate abuse.'
A spokesman from The National Crime Agency today said: 'The film was officially launched in 2010 and the annual Safe and Sound conference. It was not suppressed. 'It was put on the UKHTC website, sent to every police force and to child protection agencies.' They were unwilling to offer a comment on why it was never made compulsory for schools and was only seen in a few classrooms.

Digression:
We now return you to your regularly scheduled Paki-bashing.
There's a pastry shop in Dearborn that I always order gift trays from (the family name, which is on the shop, means "Egyptian," but they are actually Palestinians). Awesome pistachio baklava and bourma. I hope to visit in person one day (preferably for Eid).Crackpot wrote:nowhere near as bad as you make it out to be. Rotherham council is to come under central government control after an independent inspection of its handling of child sexual exploitation concluded it was not fit for purpose and was more concerned about protecting its own reputation than its most vulnerable citizens.
The cabinet of Rotherham metropolitan borough council (RMBC) immediately announced their intention to resign en masse in the wake of Louise Casey’s scathing report commissioned by the communities secretary, Eric Pickles.
The council leader, Paul Lakin, said he would quit both as leader and councillor. He could and should have done more to prevent child sexual exploitation (CSE) when he was in charge of children’s services, Casey’s report said.
On Wednesday Pickles ordered commissioners in to take over the council pending new elections in the borough next year to “renew” its leadership, as the National Crime Agency announced plans to investigate criminal allegations stemming from the latest inspection.A victim's story
"You could tell with my appearance. I went to five-and-a-half stone and different coloured hair. I was a totally different person.
"Obviously, there were warning signs there. I wasn't going to school, I wasn't going home so there's no way that they couldn't have realised that something was wrong.
"A worker got involved with me. She was trying to tell people what was happening but nobody would listen.
"There were various authorities that knew what was going off and decided to ignore it. I had a child protection officer, she ignored it, someone from social services, they ignored it.
"There were various meetings about me, which were saying if there was anybody found to be dead it'd be me."
The cabinet resignations came after Casey, the government’s head official on troubled families, said the council lacked “the necessary skills, abilities, experience and tenacity within either the member or senior officer leadership teams”.
Concluding that the council needs a fresh start, Casey’s 154-page report said: “The council’s culture is unhealthy: bullying, sexism, suppression and misplaced ‘political correctness’ have cemented its failures. The council is currently incapable of tackling its weaknesses without a sustained intervention.”
She also criticised the council’s deep-rooted culture of suppressing bad news and ignoring hard issues, writing: “RMBC goes to some length to cover up information and to silence whistleblowers.”
Her “reluctant” conclusion was that “both today and in the past, Rotherham has at times taken more care of its reputation than it has its most needy”.
Pickles’ response was to tell parliament he had put together an intervention package which was “designed to give the council the new start it needs and to put an immediate end to the council’s ongoing service and governance failure”.
This would temporarily outsource all the duties of the “current wholly dysfunctional cabinet” to commissioners, he said, who would take responsibility for all executive functions of the council, including children’s and young people’s services and adult care services, as well as taxi licensing. He said he would also be making an order under the Local Government Act 2000 to compel Rotherham council to hold all-out elections in 2016 and every fourth year thereafter.

How can this be? Isn't the Rotherham council a secular organization?Rotherham council is to come under central government control after an independent inspection of its handling of child sexual exploitation concluded it was not fit for purpose and was more concerned about protecting its own reputation than its most vulnerable citizens.

Well that is a good point. And I'm surprised you made it. It it were the Catholic church they would have been committing the abuse themselves, not merely failing to defend others, helping abusers by moving them from place to place to get a fresh group of victims, blocking all investigations and doing all of those things continuously for the past 100 years. None of them would have admitted fault like this: ""We fully acknowledge our previous failings.".
Their crime was a failure of a duty to protect. Of a larger scale but the same category as Joe Paterno's sin. While the church's record is one of direct and systematic exploitation.

Clarity, that's what you need.
