Easterners would probably be shocked by what passes as court attire here in Montana. I certainly was, though now it seems normal to me.
I'm glad to hear that bare legged is acceptable now in Boston; I too hate nylons, and generally even prefer pantsuits.

It always tickles me when you see Chavs coming out of court, both here and in the UK, looking stunned that wearing their best hoody, baggy jeans, and Nikes didn't get them off the burglary charge.
