If I would shave my beard I would have no white/grey at all. It's been that way (though increasingly so) since my early 20s. It just doesn't bother me.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

There is the biggest spider I have ever seen inside this house, presently napping in the bathtub. I placed a glass vase over it and await the return of @hub to see to the removal of this unwelcome beast.

Too big for the drain, seriously, the drains have a grate with holes, big spider can't get through. Husband came home and flushed it down the toilet. He is a brave man, fearless with spiders, (but I am the heroine who deals with snakes). His remark on seeing it was, "Holy cow!" I was sort of alarmed when husband was yelling and said something about it got away. Recaptured, it met its watery death and did not clog the toilet.

Spiders, snakes... nothing much scares me, although I really hate cock roaches. Not afraid of them, but hate them.

How about a guy knocking on your door and saying, "Hello, I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."...?

An impostor! A real government employee seeking me would be knocking on a tree. Next door.

I should limit that to nothing in nature nothing much scares me.
Not camel crickets nor camel spiders.

I have a great respect for the creatures of this earth. How each one has it's own nich. I do not screech that the surprise siteing of bugs nor of other creatures. As far as I know, animals never have an "ulterior motive". They act solely on instinct and training.
Humans are another story.

So, I'm out running errands a little while ago, and I pick up a bucket of chicken from KFC for dinner tonight...a mix of "grilled" and "extra spicy"; we have our own homemade "sides"...

(Though I did pick up a few of their biscuits; I really like them...but I digress...)

And I see a banner in the place that says:

"Place Your Thanksgiving Order At KFC Early..."

Which according to the banner, includes, (along with string beans, corn, coleslaw, mac and cheese and their wall paper paste version of "mashed potatoes") a "Cajun Style Deep Fried Turkey"....

I have a hard time imagining what could be more depressing on Thanksgiving then having your dinner provided by Kentucky Fried Chicken... :?

Imagine, if you can, being one of the millions of Americans who, thanks to the insatiable appetite of the capitalist system, have to work the Thanksgiving day sales - could be that buying Thanksgiving dinner at KFC is the best you can do for your family. :(

Or those who can afford no Thanksgiving Dinner at all...

or those who have no family to share it with...

In reviewing my post, it was very thoughtless...

I was reacting to something that I thought in the moment was humorous, which upon reflection isn't humorous at all...

Upon reflection, that post looks to me like the work of a clueless, very lucky, upper middle class twit...

And as the clueless, very lucky upper middle class twit who wrote it, I apologize for it...

If nothing else, this Thanksgiving when you are counting your blessings, you can tell your lovely wife how grateful you are that she rescued you from bachelorhood and the possibility that you might have ended up eating finger lickin' good Cajun style deep fried turkey take-out. ;)

Well, as I've said before, when I was in my 20s, I would have made a terrible parent...

I was way too self absorbed; I really had nothing to offer...

I had pretty much given up on the idea of ever becoming a parent...

But then when I was 40, I suddenly found myself dealing with the situation...

And 10 years later, when I was 50, we had a second child...

And as it turns out, I'm really a pretty good "old man"...:-)

( I never thought Kelly would be up to this either, but she's surprised me as well...She's a superb mother... :ok)

I hate it when toenail clippings lodge between my toes instead of flying across the room to be lost. Especially when they are not mine.

 Ewwww!

Why are there so many people in the law - lawyers, judges, clerks - who can't pronounce absentia properly??

Maybe it's just folks here in Montana, but I hear all the time folks saying "absTentia" instead.

Grrrr!

I would suggest that when they do this, you correct them...

Especially the judges... 8-)
