Teaching about birth control is what makes kids have sex

Post by Scooter »

ARRRRRGGGGGGH!!!!
A Colombian woman who used a potato as a means of contraception had to have the vegetable removed from her vagina this week.

Citing local reports, the website Colombia Reports said the 22-year-old woman in the town of Honda went to see doctors because she was having abdominal pains.

"My mom told me that if I didn't want to get pregnant, I should put a potato up there, and I believed her," the unnamed patient told doctors.

The potato was in the woman's vagina for about two weeks before she started feeling pain.

Carolina Rojas, the nurse who examined the woman, discovered roots coming out of the woman's body because the potato had started to germinate, the report said.

The potato was removed without surgery and the woman is expected to recover fully.

Her mother should have suggested, "a potato held tightly between the knees" as a form of birth control, (ala Ann Landers suggestion about an aspirin some years ago...)
