Considering his Avatar, I used to think something similar, but I now think it is his way to show his contempt for religion in general, but that is just my opinion .

At any rate, don’t let any of this bother you it is not worth it.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

Still not big enough to admit that your belief that I was criticizing Southerners was based on seeing things that were not there and not bothering to make the slightest effort to ask what I actually did mean.

It's a character from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, he operated a nightclub and helped to fight the bad guys using his power to read people's minds when they sang.

But again, so much more fun to speculate wildly rather than just asking me the question.

Every post I have written is there for everyone to see, and yet whenever you throw out this accusation you never manage to identify even ONE post that supports it.

One day, you might develop the insight to ask yourself why this is so.

But then, you believe that Canada was a Soviet ally and that Europeans don't eat corn, so I won't be holding my breath waiting.

well my avatar is my great grandmother. she was from the lower shore, her grand dad fought in the civil war, (I don t even know which side) and her husband died in ww1, she never remarried. she worked at woolworths for 60 yrs, until about 90. I don t know if she ran the cafeteria the whole time or not. she cooked the best sunday dinners ever, from scratch, until her early 90s. she finally passed at 98.

not bad for an inbred moron, with a syphilitic uterous....

And how would your great-grandmother react to you making false accusations about someone? About sticking with your erroneous assumptions by choosing to disregard the facts would have been available to you from the outset if you hadn't been too pigheaded* to ask?

*oh I'm sorry, I mentioned pigs, and there are pigs in the South, and some Southern people do eat pork, so somehow this must be a slur against all Southerners.

How voters think is irrelevant when you can observe how they act, and in Westminster-style parliaments fringe parties tend to get more support in by-elections than in general elections, and this has been true for the UKIP specifically.

Once again, lobbing this recycled accusation about purporting to know how xyz group thinks has been an epic fail.

Oh I understand completely, it's like the feeling I get when someone lobs baseless accusations at me, resists telling me the purported basis for the accusation, and then keeps repeating the accusation even after being shown that the suppositions behind do not hold up

Do you even have the first clue about the source of Scooter's avatar?? :loon

I'll concede that Scooter can be biting at times, but generally only when truly provoked - I seem to recall (I could be mis-remembering, not from Lyme disease but from a middle-aged brain that juggles hundreds of fact patterns every month, in addition to all the other details of life) that he once took out his wrath on me, and if that did happen, I've no doubt I said something stupid and/or antagonizing to compel that response.

It's interesting to me - my new signature line is reflective of this certainty of uncertainty - how very differently people see other people, depending on their lens on life. As for me, I've always considered Scooter to be one of the fairest, most eloquent and well-informed posters here or at the former CSBs; obviously some folks see him differently, but my impression is that he's generally dispassionate unless he truly believes somebody is playing BS games or dealing underhandedly.

Of course, I also think rubato is a generally decent bloke, too - and doubtless Gob and LJ will reply by saying I'm totally nuts. To each their own, I guess.

In any case, wesw, now having seen your pattern of posting, I don't find you very trustworthy and I'm even inclined to question if you are who you've presented yourself to be. It seems to me to be pretty troll-ish to join an established online community - intimate as this one is - and to, within weeks, begin shit-stirring to this level. I'm totally happy to see new people join - it's far too quiet here compared to how it once was - but I certainly don't want to see this place degenerate to the hostilities that once plagued us.

For instance, the other day in the thread about Eric Holder, you essentially accused me of calling you a racist, because I agreed with an assertion in an article posted by Sue that referred to the controversy around Holder's tenure being in some part due to 'lawyering while black'. I CLEARLY wasn't addressing you at all (even though you made it clear you didn't like him), so I refused to rise to the bait of your passive aggressive bullshit attempt to start a fight with me - life's too short and frankly, I don't have time to waste of someone who is mean and troll-ish like that, AND can't spell or write worth a damn.

So if I don't seem to be reading what you're posting in the future, you'll know why. You can get advice about your anti-virus from LJ or Gob.
