Re: Brittany's Choice
wes, wes. New idea. No more two/three/four/eight posts in a row. Take a break. Post once and move on for a bit. Come back later. Or carry on as you wish. NMB

Wes, you also have the option, (rather than posting three one sentence posts in three minutes) to do this:
Just click on the "edit" button beneath your post (right next the delete button)....
and add
to
your post.
You can do it multiple times.
You may have noticed in some of my posts you will see:
ETA:
With text beneath it; "ETA" stands for "Edited To Add"...(you don't have to add that, but I do it for clarity.)
Now you don't want to do it hours later, (or even after somebody has posted a follow up) but it would avoid these multi one sentence posts in the space of just a couple of minutes. This isn't a chat board, it's a BBS forum and that stuff is annoying, distracting, unnecessary and makes discussions more difficult to follow. (I am completely with Brother Meade on this.)
Now young man, I DO NOT want to hear about how this is somehow too complicated for you, or your "luddite cred" or any other excuses....it's one friggin click, and you can't miss the button...
And it's just simple, common courtesy for your fellow posters....
Thank you.

My opinion is no secret: if ever diagnosed with cancer, I will most likely eat my shotgun within 12 hours.

Re: Brittany's Choice
life with one lung ain t bad at all.
Re: Brittany's Choice
I watched two people go through chemo. Both regretted every second of it and died in agony. Not fuckin' worth it.

Re: Brittany's Choice
I skipped the chemo. had to go back to work
Re: Brittany's Choice
After watching my friend Linda rot away with cancer, I would be disinclined to go the distance with treatments, depending on the diagnosis. I still wish I'd found a way to talk with Linda about the infinitesimal chance that the last experimental chemo could help her - she was determined to try it, and spend the last 4 months of her life in great discomfort, then outright agony. I wish I'd convinced her to spend that time doing things on her bucket list instead.
That being said, I've known folks who beat cancer without a terrible radiation/chemo experience, and had many excellent years afterward. So please, Jarl, don't have a blanket response to a cancer diagnosis - it's far too nuanced.
I intend to be in control of my own destiny right to the end, whether assisted suicide is available in my state of residence or not. After a great deal of research I've settled on a painless and foolproof method of suicide whose necessary components are easily available.

So you don’t think that this thing will in the end benefit insurance companies more than anyone else. Well, I must have more faith in the ability of insurance companies to manipulate the government than you do. Just wait you will see it come to fruition; you give an industry a captive market what else should you expect, for them not to take advantage. Has mandatory auto insurance actually reduce insurance rates?TPFKA@W wrote:Let me know if you need more tin foil. Obama was elected I was happy in a way. one, because my black friends were so happy and two , because I thought we would finally get national health care. instead we received a mandate to enrich the insurance industry further.
Why couldn’t the federal government have copied the Louisiana system and established state own and operated hospitals and clinics across the country?

I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
