Yessssssssssss I could install American - however - is it a deal breaker for our American friends to have it as an option? Each language pack contains dupicates of all the board software written in the new language this means every time we do an upgrade or make any kind of change to the forum even a minor one, it will mean having to manually change 2 identical sets of files - so twice the work, plus modifications to the software aren't always made with different languages available as standard - this could potentially mean that were we to add a new shiney sooper dooper bit of kit to the board those using the American version would end up with a forum view which would be partially British English & partially American English. I shouldn't think it would look that bad but I do forsee some minor irritations if that were to happen.

I’ve never studied a single bit of American English and yet I am able to wade my way through the stuff with very little difficulty.

Then when you consider that we spend all our time reading what people type – some might say ascii – and what we type is open season on any language….
