I don't find that interesting. It's just him posting crap to amuse himself.
As to the flames (and rubato loves flames), I don't think anyone here suggested that the ship (and the surrounding scaffolding etc. in use for the pre-fire restoration work) was not engulfed in the orangey bits.
It is wilful ignorance (oh, and lying) to ignore the known facts - the majority of timbers were off-site in storage already. Much of what burned was not original but created by conservators to facilitate visitors. If there was arson (rubato's favourite activity), then there was a failure of security The nationality of the putative arsonist is not known. Nor is the nationality of any security guard.
The police investigation uncovered no evidence of arson (rubato's favourite word). Theories centre on an electrical fault.
rubato can post whatever non-scientific, xenophobic rubbish he wishes. He's had practise

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Re: What's (in) your bag.
I was reading Newsday a couple of weeks ago and they were showing how more and more adults are using backpacks. I thought, well I use one when I have too much stuff to carry on my mc but other than that I don't use one. Then I started seeing the pricetags on some of the backpacks they were showing. $600 and up.
I paid about $20 for mine.

Not really. It's on the big curve in the Thames on this map, right centreoldr_n_wsr wrote:Isn't that downtown?Greenwich

And watch out for backpacks. They are easy to steal from because the action's behind you. That's how my wife got her wallet stolen in Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein - a couple working in tandem.... big lady to get in my wife's way and bump into her while a guy lifted her purse from the backpack.

Talk about your major thread drift . . . how'd we get from the contents of wallets and handbags to burning historical landmarks???

That's easy to explain...
It started with rube launching an unprovoked gratuitous troll attack, for which he has received no criticism except from those of us who always call him on it when he pulls this shit...(which he does almost daily...)
It's a real shame that there isn't more criticism more often from more people when he does this; if there were, I suspect he would do it less often...

Re: What's (in) your bag.
I disagree.
The last time he finally received specifically directed criticism for something he had done from those who normally give him a pass (a few months ago) his behavior did improve for a while.
But it's not a "do it once and the problem's solved" kind of thing. He'll always go back to seeing how much he can get away with without criticism. It's not a perfect solution but there's no question that after those rare occasions when he has received broad criticism from those who haven't generally called him out, there has been some improvement for a period of time.

If you think somebody is being a troll, call them on it once - then put them on ignore.
Don't feed the trolls!
