THE theft of a breast pump and two plasters has seen a Llanelli man fined by town magistrates.
Appearing via video link from HM Prison Swansea, Daniel Alan Sheppard pleaded guilty to the two offences.
Prosecuting, Peter Ludd told the court that on October 2, Sheppard had gone into Mothercare in Carmarthen and walked out with the Melida Breast Pump.
But Gareth Jones, defending, said Sheppard, of Coleshill Terrace, and his partner, had very little money.
“His partner was a bit down and he wanted to get her a gift,” said Mr Jones.“He knows it was the wrong thing to do.”
The court also heard how on October 28, Sheppard had gone into the Boots store and stole two blister plasters from a packet.
He was fined £75 and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.
