Perfectly AVERAGE, most definitely NOT plus sized, except in the minds of stupid men who think there is the remotest chance in hell that any size 4 model would even look twice at them.

By the way, when Candice was 14 years old and US size 6, modeling agencies told her to lose 15 lbs - you know, so she could be anorexic like most of the 'normal size' models. Thank heavens she was perfectly happy being a 'plus' size model - she's healthy!

Size 4? Who (apart from women who are the main consumers of "fashion') is interested in size 4?

My vote would have gone to the 59% lady in this (Who's Sexiest?) picture. 10% obviously didn't understand the question.

And they are all looking at me.. their eyes follow me around the room. Weird, ain't it?

She was one of the original supermodels who shot to fame in the late Eighties and set the mould for fixture catwalk stars and cover girls. But Cindy Crawford says she feels sorry for today's models as she thinks it's much harder to be one these days.
And she also said the girls on the runaway and in magazines are shrinking and haven't got the curves of their predecessors.
Image
One of the originals: Cindy Crawford was one of the first supermodels and has criticised how difficult it is to get work as a model these days. Cindy, 45, said: 'I just saw the CoverGirl commercial with Taylor Swift and I thought, "Wow, it is so hard for models to get a job these days". 'You have to sing and act, too. There doesn't seem to be as much work specifically just for models.
'And I also think when I was modeling, size 6 (UK size 10) was a normal size and now it's like 2 (UK 6) or 0 (UK 4).'

What size do you reckon these 'perfect bodies' are? :loon

(Hint: See all the ribs showing? They are size 6, 4, 2 or zero - and most of them, if not all, meet the criteria for unhealthy weight and/or anorexia.)

eta: I would bet that the only size 6 is the middle gal in the teal who is showing her 'plump' bootie. The others are all scrawny ass ugly.

eta: NO, I would NOT wish to look like them and I don't know any women who would. I'd MUCH prefer to look like Ms. "Spare Tire", as you 'gentlemen' so kindly dubbed her - and be able to drink a Sam Adams and eat a few slices of pizza every now and then, just as I'm about to do this evening.

Way to skinny...

I agree with Meade about Miss 59% from the other picture...(I believe she was a size 12)

And I think Cindy Crawford's got valid points...

The first big super model I remember was Cheryl Tiegs back in the late 70's...

She never looked like the stick women in that picture...

Raquel Welch, Ann Margaret, Julie Newmar, great beauties all, none of them had the bodies of concentration camp escapees...

At least two.

Why do women always whine on and on and on about skinny models?

Skinny models have one source of work.

Flogging clothes to women.

I would not call her average, but I would call her. She's gorgeous! :ok

Geez Meade, let's see YOUR bathing suit photos, huh?!?!

One last comment on the OP - that is THE butt-ugliest bathing suit I've EVER seen! (I suppose that could be a challenge for a thread diversion.)

And the clothes that are modeled by size 0, 2, 4, & 6 models won't work on 50%+ of real women because we have breasts and curves and clothes cut to fit an adolescent boy don't cut it for us.

Geez Meade, let's see YOUR bathing suit photos, huh?!?!
There is a bit of a difference - I'm not portraying my gnarly bod in public as somehow "alluring" or "sensual" or "worth looking at" or "attractive" or a "pin up". Obviously it's not this young lady's fault that some PC Pirelli person decided to go with that. Not every attractive woman looks as good as Miss 59% - the other five for example pale in comparison, to either extreme. My good lady who I think is just peachy wouldn't fit into a size 12 I bet (guess) but then she wouldn't put it out on a calendar either.... calendar girls maybe...

I'll say it again - men (that is, ordinary blokes like me) don't particularly like to look at size 2 women - I don't know what all these sizes mean but I'm pretty sure 2, 4, 6 are probably not solid enough for a good day's work in the wheat fields. Maybe 6, I don't know. But the 10% lady and this Pirelli lady are not pinups. God bless em - keep it covered

Geez Meade, let's see YOUR bathing suit photos, huh?!?!
Well now... let me see... one from better days and a recent pic

Another great  thanks to LJ, and Meade's recent picture.

With regard to Ms. Huffine's lovely curvy body - it is every bit as beautiful as a Botticelli and absolutely belongs on a pinup. The two small creases that show in her midriff would happen to any healthy body weight female posed in that position and I'm frankly glad the photographer didn't airbrush them away, as 98% of fashion photogs would have. Ms. Monroe is probably a 12 or 14 in the photo I posted, if her midriff were exposed and she was in a similar position, same effect. Would you argue Monroe doesn't belong on a pinup??

Again, it's an ugly suit and perhaps not the most graceful pose - blame the photog. The lady is perfectly lovely!

Oh. I thought he meant that the pictures caused him to rip his clothes off and dive into the nearest creek....

eta there was an alternative familiar to WW2 recruits during the initial medical examination but I doubt LJ would have been so blatant
